Absolutely stunning, Ian. The sky is beautiful despite the primary red. But that sea is a miracle. It reminds me of Scarborough on the NE coast of England last year. The sea looked like this. Calm and like watered silk. My sister said you couldn’t capture such natural beauty on film or canvas. Well, I reckon you’ve achieved it here.

Hi from England. Never painted before in my life, but have very recently become obsessed with watching your videos, and am going to treat myself to some acrylic paints and all the other necessaries. I absolutely love your work. I really want to have a go at painting a beautiful Mediterranean scene, over the sea, just before the sun sets, but not at sunset, if that makes sense, with some beautiful calm blue water and luscious greens of the hills coming in from the sides. If you could either offer some advise or film a video of your take on that, I'd be most grateful. Thanks for all your fab videos and keep posting. Totally found a new hobby, just hope I can one day be as good as you are x

What is the difference between "mixing white", "titanium white", and "flowing white"? Please! I love your videos and the pace at which you teach! So glad I found you!!
i would use mixing white to mix into a color if i was to add white, i use titanium as the white color within the painting and flow white is a student/craft soft bodied paint
@@ianapolis Thank you. I finally got the background looking good! I am having a problem softening up the edges of the sun. I have quite a few brushes and I haven't been able to find ONE that can blend the sun out. I have watched your video at least 11 times! LOL

Could you please describe your blending brush. Is is a specific brush for artist or a painting/staining brush. I heard you say 2” but most brushes out there are the synthetic type. If it’s an artist specific brush, who makes them? I love your painting!

I use 2 inch synthetic brush from the hardware store

zinc and flow white are not the same here, i have never used zinc white, if you have these try mix and using them and see how it works
