Omg u answered my question i actually have been researching emt before i jump into respiratory ...still in the beginning phase but honestly watching u and others have inspired me to follow my dreams ....thank u
I thought about becoming a CNA before respiratory school but I was so unsure. They make about the same sometimes more than what I make now at my job so it's tempting. If phlebotomy made more around here I'd totally do that. But I'd hate to leave my current job as I got switched into a really good department
I just got into the respiratory therapist program, I start March 30th!!!!!! I am so extremely excited!!!! Hope all is well with you! Thank you so much for all of your amazing content! How are you handling work with the virus going on?
Congratulations on getting into the program! We are very cautious and mindful of using the correct personal protective equipment for each illness we encounter. Good team work and keeping moral high is a huge factor also! Thanks for the support!
Breathe Easy Thank you so much for responding I greatly appreciate it! Your a great figure for so many people!! Lastly going from banking to respiratory, sometimes being in a high stress environment of the medical field, did you ever need to teach yourself how to deal with stressful situations? Or were you already used to being calm? As in how not to get anxious or to panic? Sometimes in situations I get anxious/ jittery, but my biggest goal is to teach myself how to remain calm. Do you have any tips?
I had Zero healthcare experience when I went to RT school. I had to learn everything new, but graduated top of my class. I had classmates that were in the medical field that struggled. Truth is, how much do you want it?
Thank you for the update video. I am your new subscriber and also working towards RT. I don't have any background as well and right now I am struggling with all the medical terminology. It is really hard to remember as a second language speaker. Would you mind share some advice? How did you pass all the tests? What is your daily schedule like?
Hey how is the job outlook for RTs after school? I am looking to get into the program but worried about finding a job afterward. I am in the Sacramento area.
Thoughts about young people like me who just started in the program. I got in respiratory school last year and probably gonna graduate next year or the following year. 20 years old here and barely had any medical experience, well I did work in a nursing home as a dietary aide so yeah.
You making me to wish if I had my RT degree in USA. It's been 2 years since I graduated yet, I'm not qualified to work as an RT because they don't offer license for international students.
I actually went back to banking experience and prn RRT. The bank started paying more 😄😄 for less stress I chose banking

RTs are in high demand due to the pandemic. It is hard to say what will happen after though.

I think that's great that you are getting right into the field! You are young, healthy and have plenty of time to get your experience! You got this!
