Shoppers beware- 8 series do not come with oil or transmission cooling unless in the rare cooling package! High likelihood of drivetrain failure before the car reaches 60k miles if you do any sort of spirited driving. The oil heat exchanger is mounted to one of the hottest areas of the motor too and the car uses a 105C tstat!
Any way to fix? My dad just got a 850i
@angeloc1340 nothing to fix and there's no way to retrofit however for normal driving the cooling is totally fine. I would suggest a Bavlogic custom tstat, for it to open 90-95C rather than 105C
@@damians8498 ah ok I don’t think he’s going to be taking it to the track any time soon and rarely driving hard so I think it will be fine

got a fully blacked out 2023 3 months ago.. Sadly can't drive it long enough with hitting traffic! it's a beautiful ride and a beast
