@@Nianiani -- Even if there is a part I don't understand because I can see your palette and you painting that step I then know what you are explaining. Doesn't mean I can do it though. Water control is a problem but knowing I can hurry and grab up some of that water with a dry brush helps. Once my little craft table is empty of wedding flowers I'll be able to use it to paint at. Practicing will be easier because then I can leave everything I use on it instead of constantly putting it all away. Side note: Our Autumn has started and this morning it is so cold, 40°F or 7°C. Just a couple weeks ago it was in the HIGH 80°'s or 25°- 30°C. Does your Country always stay warm?
@@barbaram5787 Yes, your worktable must be so full at the moment! :D Jakarta is always hot. Sometimes either wet hot or just hot hot hahaha it's really not a fun choice of seasons xD
I always love your Tutorials & have followed many, they always produce lovely paintings, so thank you. On a different note, I had a Eureka! moment looking at your Palette. How clever & problem solving to use the little Half Pans just inserted on top of your Palette SLOT vs. filling in that space with paint. This gives the ability to continually change up ONE Palette with colors for each particular Painting. I have at least 40+ Tubes of colors but could never decide which to permanently place in my Palette slots beyond the staple colors. Obviously this shows what a true Beginner I am & people might not find this such a big deal, but know it was for me. It will save me SO much paint over time & even able to build a Palette w/some of those "special" Daniel Smith Paints of Inferences, unusual colors and "duo" types. Thank you as always!
Oh yes! I didn't realise that, but I basically do that because I always use specific limited palette for my paintings and since I make so many tutorials, and I thought if I have too many different colours in different places, it might be abit hard to see or understand from watching. I'm glad that you found how I set up my paints useful! :D
There are really so many extremely talented artist sharing their work & technniques, you included. You are a stand out from many, as you really take the time to explain, & demonstrate, step by step & in real time, making it possible for us to follow along. I also admire your skill, style, and subjects you choose. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful works of art, and your process. You are MOST HELPFUL!
You are a master of carefully putting colorful blobs of paint onto paper to represent flowers. I am in awe of your work. One of my favorites is your rendition of chrysanthemums, that take my breath away. Thank you for sharing your beautiful works. ❤️
Oh thats so sweet of you! blobs are fun to do, but I'm not too good at loose paintings though, I tend to focus and overwork everything haha so to let loose is actually a challenge
I love hydrangeas. In the house I grew up in, my parents grew them as well as camellias, gardenias and lilacs. And of course, being in California wild poppies always came up in the spring!
I love how you leave it up to everyone so that people can actually learn, and not being just a flat tutorial you have to follow perfectly in order to achieve a good result. It's good telling people to try things other than the ones you're explaining. Keep on the great work! 🥰❤
Aw Thank you so much! I really appreciate that! I never really believe in copying/following something completely, but rather showing my process so people can use it in their own way and pick/choose parts they want to incorporate. I think there needs to be space in order to learn because everyone paints differently and I'm so happy you totally get where I'm coming from! :))
This is so pretty! I'm definitely going to try this. Adding gouache petals sparingly at the end is genius. I'd like to see your tutorial on fireworks, please!
You always come out with another painting thats as beautiful if not more than your last. I really enjoyed this very detailed video. Hydrangeas are one of my favorite flowers too. Thank you so much for sharing your love of art with us. 💞
It was great that you explained it step by step.I really liked it and ya I always used to make mess with vase so I think after this video it is also cleared🙂🙂
You are an amazing artist but most importantly you are amazing soul. I have never come across someone who explain in so much detail on UA-cam. Thank you so much n am glad i was recommended to this video
Finally finished my version of your painting. My colors were much deeper and bold. Too many layers I guess, but I like how it turned out. Thanks for your wonderful tutorials!
Oh was it you? I'm so sorry, I usually mention the people who requests a certain subject.. but I'm very happy that you enjoyed this tutorial and the completed painting ^___^
Oh my goodness. This was absolutely gorgeous. thanks a lot Eugene for pretty pretty tutorial. I am slightly nervous about it, but i shall try to give it a go. I am finally learning so much about building colours and the process of watercolour. Your my sweet watercolour Angel. I am currently trying out your food paintings and how I wish you did landscapes too. :) Shall wait for the next piece of your magical art. Keep safe. Cheers!
Drawing an outline would help you greatly, as the empty white page will become less intimidating. Give it a go! I think once you start and get the flow of it, you'll start to understand the process. Go slow and enjoy the process ^___^ Happy painting! :D
You paint this one so easily and smoothly. You're such a genius artist❤ I am a noob still tried some of your paintings and specially this one. It was really fun playing with the colours🥰
Sorry, was it not focused? I tried to zoom in certain areas which might cause it to be less sharp, I cant get too close to the paper as the camera becomes too over exposed... Edit: I rewatched it again, and it was in focus actually. Could it be the internet connection perhaps? I know UA-cam lowers the quality when there's bad connection..
Lovely. You really understand how to break this down and explain each step. Thank you, your sharing means a lot to so many people.
This one took so many tries since the colours and the placement were a bit more complex xD so glad that its understandable to follow in the end 😊
