Great tutorial! What song name was played on 4th setup? Please help Ican't sleep!
great video. I have a million dollar question for you. First, my organ playing is more designed for singular instrument playing So can you tell me what set up do they use during recordings on cd's wheras the organ is not the dominate instrument and has the lighter feel? Thanks my set ups are too harsh when playing with a piano player and actual bass player
nice one really helpful video cheers!
Super useful lesson man, thanks! What were you playing for the first example? That was killer
Fantastic video!
Cant wait to try these on my mechanical T400. Thank you !

That A flat at the end tho 😂. Nah but seriously. Thanks for that. I'm still getting used to the drawbar settings and this definitely helped me understand it better.
This is great thank you
I always wanted to play the organ at church but I never get the chance to as a kid because I have churches with strict pastors who tell you to "get off the organ" or they have a sign on their saying "organists only, don't touch."
I fell in love with the Hammond ever since I was a kid
Thank you!
Yo .making me totally regret selling my Aseries Hammond. You do a great lob. Bless!
hi man!! great video, i'm searching for this tipical reggae drawbars setting ( @ ) but i can't find it, could you find it just earing?? and say me please......(it's a Ben Harper song) thank you very much
When's the DVD coming!?!?!?!!? LOL!!! Great stuff!!!
I was was trained in mid-1960's by my father,
Joseph W. Hemingway I, and Alfred Bolden. By age seven, I mastered the theory of the Hammond RT-3 model...
cool.
ok thanks.
Von, hopefully I spelled the name correctly? lol. I noticed that you are from Massachusetts? I am no longer there but I grew up in a town called Brockton. I just came across your videos this past weekend and do really appreciate what you are doing. Specifically, how you call out chords by individually calling the notes. This method is key and vital in helping those musicians who are not knowledgable of the specific names of the chords. I wanted to ask, could you do a video on that opening and closing backround music you have? That groove is very smooth. Keep doing what you are doing. You are one of very few musicians who are out here on youtube taking the time to actually play a song through and then turn around and break down the entire song not just with simple chords, but chords that will have you sounding like a seasoned musician.
Keep up the good work.
Regards,
Jonathan
I'm from Boston. Boston Represent!!

Can you teach the first song, it's in E flat, with the 8 8 8 8 drawbar setting
I’m curious if thru any of these examples, were you also playing the foot pedals? It seemed as though you weren’t only playing left hand bass, when I heard bass notes.
One of my favorite settings is 6886 000 04, which I use for Latin Rock on the upper manual, w/ the right hand.
Much needed
Thank you

Hey I wanna ask if what kind of instrument are you using? Because you just showed the drawbars. And not the instrument.
That is a Hammond XK-3 keyboard (clonewheel) with lower manual unit. I have the same thing. It was replaced by the XK-3c, and last year with the XK-5.
Man👀🎹🎹👈🏿yessir love it doc
i loved to back down the first drawbar down to 688888006 and i love to go 668888006

Hey Cadon! It was just something I made up
wow! is there a video of yours where you talk about how to improvise that sort of stuff on the organ ?
Hi Cadon, for improvisation our course Create Crazy Gospel Chords covers improvising and creating new chord progressions. Check it out at: www.CreateCrazyGospelChords.com/joinccgc

1:23 talk music / mellow
So how do I use this on an original B3
Easy, Just use them on either the Bb or B natural drawbar banks
@@vaughnbrathwaiteLol... I was tryna figure that out. Actually, I meant how would this work on an original B3 organ? Seems you're playing on either a B2 or the newly updated B3. The drawbars look different one the ones made before the 1970's
Cricon Investments nope, they’re the same
@@vaughnbrathwaite Hmm... mine has at least 36 drawbars and when I look at them I'm totally confused as to what all they do. Thanks for this video though because every lil bit of learning I get from other musicians helps. I was just hoping that you had some tidbit of knowledge as to how yours may relate to the older model I play.
@@criconinvestments7723 yes it will work on a B3. I can do it on a C2 Hammond.
