So many memories of this building. Did a course in computing there right after school in 1982 and worked there with blind students in the 1990s. So sad to see it demolished.
The canteen ( on the top floor) who had in house trained cooks made the best meat pies and pasties I ever tasted, no friggin' fast crap food.. I studied there as a Marine Engineer 1977- 1978 and 1980-1981. Just like the the Cammell Laird Ship Yard down the street it's all gone. This is so sad, I got my NVQ level 3 in carpentry & joinery there, (I went to borough Road Met College September 1994 - June 1997) and I met some wonderful people there and made some great friends - They pulled the college down and also the Glenda Jackson theatre back in 2004/2005 and I was very sad every time I drove past whilst they were knocking it down :( Long live the happy memories though! - Mark you were the best friend that I could ever wish for and I always loved hanging round with you and I miss your friendship so much now :( I am so pleased and happy for you that you are now happily married to your beautiful wife and have two fabulous children - God bless you and all your family :) - I am still your mate out there and very proud of you ;) I sent you many messages to reply to your message that you sent me on eBay but I never heard from you again sadly, so I am unsure whether you got my messages? or the eBay bots blocked my all messages to you? as I am non the wiser. - I would NEVER just ignore you Mark - Your friendship meant more than the world to me - I have changed so much in recent years, as I had many cosmetic surgery procedures to improve myself including limb lengthening surgery abroad back in 2011 - In your heart you know that I am still the same warm, friendly kind hearted guy that I always was and you used to always confide in me when we used to go drinking together at the pub during lunchtime, (You used to know me quite well in the mid 1990's). I will never forget you Mark as long as I live - You were so funny and always made me happy.
@@Bond2025 If you are Mark ?, I am really sorry that I upset you by calling at your mum's back in 2018 on Christmas Eve. I called at your mum's (ONCE only) because I had a box of 20 odd CD's wanted you to have as a present and no other way to get them over to you safely with only a few hours before Christmas Day. I really wanted to get the chance to meet you once again Mark and to give you a BIG hug for old times sake... Sadly there was no answer, and I only met your brother when he turned up in his car. I gave the CD's to him to give them to you and I left... I genuinely wasn't thinking and I didn't mean to upset you or your mum in anyway. So please understand and forgive me as I was younger and more foolish 3 years ago. I REALLY miss you Mark and I'm now very sad to have lost you as my mate. I always wish you well Mark - Stay safe and well always. Y
I was there 1984 to 88. I really loved it there. Especially Biology teacher Shirley Thurman and Chemistry teacher Dr Cowd- both really inspirational.
