Fondazione Arte della Seta Lisio Firenze

🇮🇹 Nel 1906 Giuseppe Lisio fonda la sua prima manifattura a Firenze. Da allora, la Fondazione Lisio prosegue la produzione di pregiati velluti e broccati in seta, sempre tessuti a mano sugli stessi antichi telai Jacquard, con lo stesso unico scopo: mantenere viva l’arte della tessitura di stoffe di pregio.
Giuseppe Lisio era pervaso da una vivace curiosità che lo ha sempre stimolato ad indagare con passione nel campo della Storia dell’Arte spingendolo a ricercare nei musei, nelle chiese, sulle pubblicazioni del tempo, esemplari di opere d’arte che fossero una fonte d’ispirazione per le sue creazioni.
“Frequentando Firenze ed interessandomi di tutto ciò che poteva dar lustro alla produzione serica italiana, fui colpito dal ricordo di una delle sue arti maggiori, forse la migliore, «l'Arte della Seta»… Sui primi del 1906, entusiasmato dalle ricerche che andavo facendo sull'Arte stessa, decisi di trasferirmi a Firenze ed iscrittomi alla locale Camera di Commercio come setaiolo, iniziai da solo un intensissimo lavoro, proponendomi se non altro di ricordare alle nuove generazioni i fasti di quell'Arte nobilissima…
In quegli anni posso dire che in Firenze l'arte del tessere fosse completamente spenta, poiché, dopo varie ricerche, a stento potei rintracciare al di là d'Arno qualche anziana donnetta che aveva in gioventù usato la spola, ricordo la più abile, certa Gambini Adele che, aiutata da un altro buon tessitore che avevo chiamato a Firenze, riuscì ad insegnare ad alcune giovani in modo di tessere sull'antico telaio.
I primi disegni, sebbene classici, furono semplici e riprodotti abbastanza fedelmente e, come necessitava farli subito conoscere, decisi di aprire una bottega sotto l'insegna e la scritta dell'Arte della Seta”.
Il sogno di Fidalma vede la luce nel 1971 con l’istituzione della Fondazione Arte della Seta Lisio. Desiderosa di tutelare il lavoro del padre e di continuarne l’attività, prende in consegna i telai a mano ed i disegni dell’antica manifattura con l’intento di continuare a proporre le antiche tecniche di lavorazione, destinate a scomparire. Affianca alla produzione una qualificata Scuola d'Arte, che fin dalla metà degli anni Ottanta, che forma numerosi allievi provenienti da tutto il mondo.
La Fondazione, oltre a testimoniare e a continuare un’arte antica, oggi rappresenta un punto di riferimento per studiosi del tessuto, per aziende e designer intenzionati a raffinare le loro capacità, ma è anche un centro che in 46 anni di attività ha saputo costruire una rete di conoscenze specialistiche e attivato scambi importanti con altre istituzioni e con stilisti di fama internazionale.

Giuseppe Lisio was pervaded by a lively curiosity that has always stimulated him to investigate with passion in the field of Art History, pushing him to search in museums, churches, publications of the time, examples of works of art that were a source of inspiration for his creations.
"Attending Florence and being interested in everything that could give prestige to Italian silk production, I was struck by the memory of one of his major arts, perhaps the best," the Art of Silk "... In early 1906, enthusiastic about the research I went working on the Art itself, I decided to move to Florence and enrolled in the local Chamber of Commerce as a silk-maker, I started a very intense work by myself, proposing if only to remind the new generations of the glories of that most noble art ...
In those years I can say that in Florence the art of weaving was completely extinguished, since, after various researches, I could hardly find on the other side of the Arno some elderly woman who had used the shuttle in her youth, I remember the most skilled, certain Gambini Adele who, helped by another good weaver whom I had called to Florence, managed to teach some young women how to weave on the ancient loom.
The first drawings, although classic, were simple and fairly faithfully reproduced and, as it was necessary to make them immediately known, I decided to open a shop under the sign and writing of the Art of Silk ". Fidalma's dream saw the light in 1971 with the establishment of the Lisio Silk Art Foundation.
The Foundation, in addition to testifying and to continue an ancient art, today it represents a point of reference for fabric scholars, for companies and designers wishing to refine their skills, but it is also a center that in 46 years of activity has been able to build a network of specialist knowledge and activated important exchanges with other institutions and with renowned stylists international.
