in my opinion, its not that big of a deal... at least we got 3 modes, one of them where we can become the biggest troll in your entire life.. anyone agree....anyone... (sigh) guess its just me all alone again...
The worst part is, Nintendo didn't mention if mini games work for Amiibo Party...
But look at the boards! That's not a classic Mario Party board it's just an oval.

F Diaz What Nintendo did to Mario Party, since Mario Party 9, is not fun... Nintendo claimed they were trying to fix it, yet all they did was turn the entire game into a luck roulette. This game no longer requires skill. You can't save your data in the middle of a game, the music and sound effects in the current Mario Party games are boring, and don't add any flare to the games. Mario Party 1-5 at least, had music that went well with the maps and board game designs and situations. It was more pleasing to collect coins for stars, especially with the chings and shimmering sound effects you hear when collecting them. But collecting those boring mini stars, and hearing a non catchy chime when collecting them, it just isn't fun... The mini games are all too simple now. Most of them involve a round of 2 out of 3 point mini games, which gets pretty boring and old fast. The old Mario Party Games had a bigger variety of difficulty and challenge, along with mini games that showered you with coins. I just absolutely hate the current Mario Party games, they took too much inspiration from the even worse Wii Party spin offs. I don't get why Nintendo had to change something that worked, instead of improving it with more additions...
Just because it’s not the original games, it doesn’t mean that it’s a bad game that you can’t have fun with. After all, we got 8 games with the classic formula, 9 including Mario Party DS. It makes sense for them to refresh the series after so long.

Even though, it breaks the "traditional" boundaries of Mario Party, it really goes to show how much Nintendo is willing to take risks and try out new things even though they might fail sometimes.
They failed in mario party 9 yet they still did it again. And idc if this comment was 6 years old, I just read it now

The way it removes almost every part of stratagy just like 9. And the lack of boards. Still has the Mario Party wackyness and chaos and fun tho, its just better when you know you can do it right, do it, and everything still falls apart.

Who cares what others say to this game. Whether they rate it a negatively or positively, stick to your opinion not anyone else. I've never played this game but I've done quite a bit of research and they game by far looks fun, especially for families. And who cares if this brakes the traditional Mario Party style, why would you want to replay the same thing more than 10 TIMES!? 😂 Let us party a while new way, "that's my way to play" ;)

technically...yes... BUT IT'S NOT THE SAME! Nintendo basically said "Oh, you want the original Mario Party gameplay? BUY AMIIBO!" I don't want to pay almost 100 bucks just to play a dumb down version of the original.
I think they're starting to go back to the series' roots. It's a start...
I use to look at Mario Party and think of good quality friendship ruining fun. I don't see that anymore. so did nintendo lose some companies help or something to force them to change the original formula?

Donkey Kong is playable again?! Yesssss! Rosalina is also playable (which was pretty much expected at this point), but YES! Also, it's great to see that they've still got the bouncy and catchy music that makes Mario Party what it is! I'm loving the new aesthetics, thanks to the Wii U!

When they said classic party mode did they mean like Mario Party 1-8 or did they mean Mario Party 9's Car mechanic?

Polis Kanin Honestly I don't have those Amiibo already and I'd rather not spend $14 for an extra mode. Not to mention those boards are tiny in comparison to regular boards from MP1-8. They just wouldn't play the same.
Underrated
I know the Mario Party 9 Party Mode gets some getting used to, but I think that the 9th entry was a great chance of pace that makes things move more quickly. At least what they're showing right now increased my interest; the new Bowser Party Mode, they brought back 2-vs.-2 minigames at 1:10, Rosalina joins the party, Donkey Kong becomes playable for the first time since Mario Party 4, and the new amiibo Party mode looks like a very interesting way to use you amiibos. After how Nd Cube handled upgrading the features of Wii Party to Wii Party U, I can't wait to see what else they have in store for Mario Party 10.

Well, even if they did bring back the car mechanic (which I know a LOT of people didn't enjoy...), at least we have TWO things to look forward to:
-For the first time, Rosalina is playable. (0:12)
-It's been about 13 years, but Donkey Kong is FINALLY playable, again! (0:12)(1:07)
(If anything, I hope Nintendo adds some sort of Online Party mechanic, but I fear that this game will be entirely centered around 5 player mode, or amiibo compatibility.)
It looks nice to play. But i miss old Mario Party, my fav is Mario Party 1 from N64. Best Mario Party of all time! #BringBackOldMarioParty
i will be real i wish they bring boss battles back to marip party maybe in super Mario party 2 maybe there should be a miniboss in the middle of the game and have a Boss on the last turn (just a cool idea i thought of)

You don't need to buy both Smash Bros for Mewtwo. It's just that if you have both, you get him for free. If you don't, you have to pay. You can still get him if you don't have both Smash Bros Wii U and 3DS, but like I said, you just need to pay. Which of course we're used to, it is DLC.

Amiibo is actually not a bad price so much as you buy main characters that you know will be compatible with a lot of wii u games which is why i have been buying mario characters. So in a way, nintendo is not ripping anyone off. If they cant use it to throw in a game mode then what else? If people don't like it, dont buy it and stick to older mario parties.
Atleast we don't have to pay for online play like in the xbone or the ps3

The trailer did not make it clear, but you can use the Smash Bros amiibos of Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Bowser in the game as well. They play th e same as the MP 10 amiibos, but it requires a save file so you will need to erase your Smash data if you have any on there.
Rosalina, Wario, and Donkey Kong also work.
The Toad amiibo can be used in Captain Toad to unlock a new challenge to find pixelated Toads hidden on every level.
I am so hyped about Mario Party 10! While I do prefer the traditional Mario Party "collect coins and stars," I don't mind the car system. The minigames are looking great too! ^_^
In my opinion, if MP10 wasn’t going to ruin friendships, Bowser should’ve ruined them for them...
Minigames look fun, but is it really so hard for them to give us the classic parties back? Where you move around on your own and stuff? At least an option would be nice :(
They should keep everything as it is now and just add a 'new' mode in wich you can play old-school Mario party without the car.

amiibo Party was awesome! It used the same Coins and Stars Counter from between Mario Party 1 and Mario Party 8! But watch out for higher or lower costs for stars while playing on Toad Board!

It's funny how I'm sure Nintendo knows gamers didn't like the car thing in MP9. So what they do, if you buy more amiibo, then you can play MP10 the old way. Gotta make that money, I guess.

Say what you will about this game, I loved this game. I actually really like the Train mechanic. And the minigames are really good. And the soundtrack has that Mario Party feel to it that I feel that SMP misses kinda. Same thing with Mario Party Charm in general. MP10 nails it, while SMP just isn't like that.

I can't wait until I can play this online with my old friends that live across the country now. I remember staying up all night playing Mario Party 1-3 with my friends. It was a blast! To think, Nintendo would actually release a Mario Party for this generation! Thank you, Nintendo! You have given me something to look forward to in these dark times we live in. I know the classic Mario Party mode will cost me like 100 bucks, but it's worth the money when I play this online with my pals.. You know, because I'm rich and money ain't no issue.

Some things that I think would make people happy:
1) Include a mode for the "traditional way" while having the car way (although i read on wikipedia that there's at least 1 board using the MP9 mechanic.. so it might mean that on Party mode there could be the option of moving around in the traditional way.. i guess we'll only find out in due time which we wont have long to wait since it comes out soon next month)
2) Gamecube controller support
3) Revising old Mario Partys by making some boards and mini-games be some from the past Mario Partys as well as using the traditional way on those boards
4) Mic mini-games making a return? Did you like mic mini-games from MP6&7?
5) Online play (since I heard a lot of people talking about wanting the online option)
What other things would you want to see return to the series that would make everyone happy? To me, it would be giving the option to go the old route the traditional way as I liked moving around solo on the board collecting my stars and coins instead of travelling with a group in a vehicle. Not saying the vehicle idea is bad, just having it as optional would benefit more and would have more fans.

I love the looks of this game. People honestly needs to shut up about the changes. I wouldnt buy the game if it was the same gimmick. Its called Mario Party for a reason. I like doing different things in the game. Not the same thing.
Plus, I get to finally play as Rosalina!! :D I'll probably be spending my first game playing as Rosalina instead of Toad, my favorite Mario character XD

If the game doesn't contain what made me like Mario Party in the first place, then I'm not going to buy it. Unless it's even better. - Change isn't always good.
It now contains a very repeated *linear*, and *less freedom* mode, taking away the challenges.
I'm not buying this.. And that square amiibo board won't help.
Oh and sure, at least the mini games are still there I think. But as an original fan, I miss the original board style; it was more freedom, more fun, etc.

I'm glad that we are having another return of Donkey Kong (I think MP 4 was the last time he was playable) but having Mario Party 10 play like MP9 is just absolutely nuts.
Honestly, the Amiibo Party thing just makes me angry more than anything. Like, if they could put in a game mode that resembles actual Mario Party games like that then why not expand it and make it the main game? They could've easily gotten rid of the whole single-track garbage and made an actual Mario Party game, but they just relegated it to a mini-game. Can I even use the term "mini-game" here? It's confusing. But anyway, yeah, Nd Cube clearly knows what they're doing and if Hudson Soft were still around Mario Party would be much better off.

Nintendo has officially redeemed themselves by bringing back 2 vs 2 and 1 vs 3 minigames! Mario Party is finally exciting again. MP9 started this phase by subtracting 2 vs 2 minigames and island tour went from that and took out 1 vs 3. All these minigames also brings back the chances of duel, battle, and bowser jr minigames. Honestly who wouldnt buy this game? There are 3 awesome game modes, tons of variety in minigames, boss games, bowser, rosalina, and donkey kong as playable characters, greatly designed boards, and its the first mario party in HD.
I'll reconsider it... If the Mario Party mode has maps where you *aren't sitting together in a car and actually buying Stars with Coins and plot steals like in Mario Party 1-DS*. If that's only with Amiibo Party, then I'm just going to most likely pass as Bowser Party just doesn't sound interesting enough.

looks like ministars are the main objective in party mode but im not sure if youll still be in a car for all the boards or not.
I miss the traditional gameplay with stars and coins as much as the next guy, but the newer modes really are just as fun.

Well for one, she's new. I'm sure people are getting bored of playing as the same mario characters for 20+ years now.
Two, she's really likable. She's one of the very small few Mario characters with a backstory (a sad backstory nonetheless!), yet she still holds a certain mystery to her.
Three, she's totally different from Peach and Daisy, and she's a great feminist icon. She's portrayed as an inspirational and strong princess who protects the entire galaxy, and she doesn't even have a canon boyfriend.. she's the only strong feminine icon in the Mario series!
She's new. She's unique. She's likable. She's badass.

I actually don't see her at all. mariowiki said she was "another" character. that's why i was confused.
This was my First Mario Party and it was a ton of fun, may dust off my Wii U and play it again!

You Nintendo fans ask for innovation, but when it comes, you hate on it and want the same thing over and over again, you guys don't know what you want, you are holding Nintendo back, this is why they are losing the console war.
A few years ago McDonalds tried to sell pizza, just because something is new doesn't mean I should support it. I'm going to buy Splatoon later this year, because its a new experience, not a cheapened rehash of what I actually wanted.

The mini games look fun, but the boards are still rough. Nintendo, take my advice, the best possible Mario Party game you could make is if you combine all of the boards from the first 3 games, add the item system from Mario Party 3, and give an extra slot for capsules from MP5
Mario Party snobs are all over the place with their love/hate for Mario Party. This game is perfectly fine. Nintendo mixing it up. Get off your high-horse and just accept it.

The Car alone has ruined this series! This has SUCH potential but I do not want to friggin' play "TOGETHER" when it comes to Mario Party. Everyone has his or her own strategy to playing this game and the car completely takes away from this! This is a COMPETITIVE game therefore I want to play by to my own style. I mean if they want to have the car at least give us the freaking "NO CAR" option! I love Nintendo typically but they're getting really bad about putting games out like this where you're forced to play "as a team." First there is BOTH new Donkey Kong games where you have to play together. And we know the technology exists to allow both competitive play AND co-op because anyone who has ever played the original SNES DK Country series can tell you that every single one of them allowed to either play against each other or with one another. Then there is the Super Mario WII/WIIU series which too forces you to play together. This sucks especially when you're playing with people that may not be the greatest and a level can take a million years to get through because you're constantly worried about them doing something that will hinder the goal. I mean back in the SNES/NES days we had to actually work to get good at Nintendo not have someone carry us through the game! And now here we have 2 Mario Partys in a row FORCING you to play together. I mean that's like playing Monopoly or Clue as one pawn. It's like Individualistic gaming is going away and we're being pushed into "Socialistic" gaming where no one can be BETTER than someone else anymore. We all have to be at the same level. I don't understand it. What is the incentive to actually practice and work toward actually getting good at a game and developing one's own way of playing if we can just have others carry us and us them through a game!? If Nintendo is so hellbent on putting the stupid car in the game then at least give us the option to play WITHOUT it. It's a simple enough addition. This is a very valid issue they have with many of their games. Like I said, I love Nintendo, this isn't about wanting the same game re-hashed over and over. I just want them to throw in the OPTION of playing without the car AND without Amiibos. Your options are basically to get to play the cool game boards with the stupid car or play a slightly classic version of MP with an Amiibo but get a generic looking board. I'm just waiting for them to ruin Mario Kart with having one person run the gas while the other runs the breaks...oh CRAP I hope Nintendo doesn't use that idea..
Unfortunately NINTENDO does not value the series that Hudson looked after , without money , without freedom , without items the game gets down and bland , nothing happens and the decay of mini games which was 9 , a more stupid than the other ,, more is so ridiculous you require playing this car mode can instead of being optional ,, but the Nintendo deserves sink for their mistakes stupid sometimes and not listen to your fans

They should put in 2 modes where one mode is when everyone is in a vehicle and another where everyone is on foot. It gives players that don't like the vehicle mechanic an alternative and those who like the vehicle mechanic can play it.
