This proves my belief that some people just want to punish someone regardless of evidence. This trial was a cut and dry as any I've seen.

I partly agree with you, I also think there are more people that are pro police in Boston compared to some other metro areas plus the jury did not see everything we saw. I really think some of them are going to go home and watch some sort of news or analysis about it and see that the expert witnesses testifying on her behalf were originally the FBI's witnesses and they will feel like they would have changed their minds if they knew that. I'm also sure we're going to be hearing from some of them soon.

It's an indictment on our education system nation-wide. We have never taught people HOW to process information, just WHAT they need to "know". Critical thinking is at a premium in this country. No way you're gonna get 12 people and not have at least one of them be bamboozle-able with shady tactics like Lally and the Judge foisted on them.

This is what frustrates me sooo much. Why do they hate her so much? If I were them, the only people I’d hate is the slimey people who “investigated” this case. Through testimony, they should’ve seen how crappy this investigation was done. The CW had one of the weakest cases I have ever seen in my life and yet there’s people out there (the O’Keefes family included) that continue to hate her rather than the people who could’ve found the real person/people who killed John, whether that’s KR or not, who freaking knows, because the investigation was sooo bad.

I have a hard time believing that the note sent from the jurors said there were substantial convictions on both sides. That's just really surprising to me. PETER: I HOPE YOU READ THIS!
NEW MEMBER! I'm an old, retired combat vet-turned criminal defense atty/State - Fed prosecutor/ magistrate/ Law School Prof (JD, SJD, PhD.) Criminal Law, Constitutional Law, Constitutional History.
Been watching and listening to you for a while. Clearly, you've been blessed to have a legal scholar such as your dad to mentor you personally and professionally.
Here's what I've been getting "sniffs" of... The FBI investigation began as a relatively limited exercise looking into local police/ prosecutorial misconduct.
NOW it's become a full-blown, major RICO investigation.
The group of people I've been half-seriously referring to as "The McAlbert Crime Family," or the "McAlbert Mafia," it seems, REALLY ARE!!
Often in RICO cases, a single event is the thread leading to a growing, interwoven web.
Also: in my experience, and I suspect here as well, at least ONE of the people involved, and who's "disposable" to the family/ lifelong friends circle and KNOWS he'll be their Fall Guy has ALREADY flipped and is now a cooperating witness, along with a few other local thugs they associate with.
I also suspect we'll start seeing federal arrests within the next few weeks. It'll be difficult to re-try this case if most of the prosecution witnesses (and other actors in this farce) are in Federal lockup.
Further, the prosecution's case -- IF they actually re- try this -- will weaken. The defense will be stronger.
In criminal law, it's usual for a DA to make a statement like was made today about a retrial. However, any way you slice it, this case will ALWAYS be corrupted. They'll stall, talk tough, etc., but then they'll quietly drop it a few months from now. Usually the face-saving reason is "new evidence" or something similar.
N.B.: "I'm not done with you yet," or whatever Paul O'Keefe said to Karen, in this situation IS a Terroristic Threat.

The MORAL principles of finding a person you BELIEVE potentially innocent guilty, aquitting a person a person you BELIEVE is guioty beyond a reasonable doubt inevitably conflict. I truly dont understand everyone saying "beleifs morals omg what its "e.v.i.d.e.n.c.e" - how do you JUDGE THE EVIDENCE without you know YOUR OWN JUDGEMENT. 6) crime scene not mapped out as its always done w/these investigations
    7) why NOT one LE went into nor spoke w/homeowners? Why? Evidence of texts by Proctor showed why.
    8) why did Fairfield homeowners IMMEDIATELY re-home their dog after YEARS of having it? who did they give the dog to? Why did no one ever track down dog?
    9) Why did homeowners coordinate w/others @ who were at Fairfield that night after tip off of FBI investigation if no tip off abt FBI - delete cell phone data, destroyed their phones + SIM card & delete phone data & did this all asap
    10) Why did they show inverted video then @ cross immediately advised it was mirrored & reversed showing Proctor & others spending time at the taillight & rear of SUV?
    11) Why does that footage show a person appear out of nowhere in video? Video seems tampered with.
    12) How can you believe she’s guilty after hearing experts saying SUV didn’t & couldn’t have struck him?
    13) There was NO injuries from the neck down, nothing on chest or abdomen. NO blood, body tissue, clothing found on rear of SUV let alone damage to SUV. When someone’s struck by vehicle there’s dents & blood etc.
    14) Expert witnesses explained the PHYSICS why SUV didn’t hit him. CW put someone NOT qualified & speculating that SUV struck him which defies physics.
    15) did anyone nor yourself consider putting into context why KR said she hit him. Did you consider she was saying that as a question? trying to reconcile what happened? She’s trying in her mind to figure out how this happened. Then realized/discovered there was nothing on SUV showing impact w/him.
    16) Evidence of timeline show CW’s timeline wrong. KR was at home at 12:34? I believe…
    17) during a blizzard no way any debris - such as a glass would be left on SUV even after being towed. No way a hair could also be on SUV & if so JO was in & out of SUV soooo many times before.
Please those who feel she’s guilty I’m seriously trying to figure out why you feel there’s NO doubt - beyond a reasonable doubt NOT based on emotions, speculation how she could’ve struck him, NOT because you believe she’s a b**** or any type of personality you feel she has, and NOT because you feel all defendants are guilty & ALL defense attorneys and their experts are all there just to create doubt so you automatically disregard them & their experts - you need to listen to their complete testimonies. Just focus on the facts and evidence as presented at trial- if you found yourself as a juror. Please advise why you stand by your Guilty stance
Remember legally “Not Guilty” doesn’t mean “Innocent” it just means there wasn’t enough evidence to show “Guilt beyond a reasonable doubt”
Please help me understand your reasoning, honesty- not being snarky or anything just looking for some understanding.
