Honestly, I feel the exact same way especially with the superb community. Somehow I missed your channel completely, but consider me a new subscriber. Excited for the show!
I agree that the flying stuff at a few times feels too clean almost but it is hard to say because sometimes when you're up there, the sky is clear and crisp and the sun just gleams and it does look almost unreal. So we'll see. But I know what you're saying. I do see a lot of ground based things and sure that's part of it. I imagine most ground conflict is going to be via downed airmen and their journeys either to a Stalag Luft or back to friendly territory. There were thousands and thousands of men who ended up somewhere on that journey during the war and so I can't image them leaving that out. But I hope it doesn't overshadow the bigger picture of the strategic air war.
Agree, it looks a bit too clean. I hope they havent followed the worst war film ever made (1917) and gone with the clean look. 1917 had pristine trenches, battlefields that looked like golf fairways and you never got the immersion or feeling like there was a war going on. Got a bit of that feeling from this teaser.
I keep telling everyone to read the book. It’s awesome. And because I read the book, I’m a little afraid that this is going to be a little too stylish and Hollywood. Band of brothers and the pacific were shot almost like documentaries. The corny one liner at the end, perfect hair do’s, and some of the shots, are scaring me a little bit. I feel like this is gonna be a ten hour long Top Gun set in ww2
Which I’m a little okay with. I’m hoping this gets people interested in history the way Top Gun recruited people into the navy. If you want 100% accurate, you have to watch a documentary such as “The Cold Blue.” I’m fine if they sensationalize this, within reason, if it gets more young adults interested in history and what actually happened
Has the same writer as BoB. You gotta realize this is to get those who didn't read the book or know much about the air war hooked with action. The writer of the book talked about production a few years back and it sounds like it'll be in good hands.

I just found my way back here 2 years after subbing to you because of your Band of Brothers reactions!
CURRAHEE

Awesome review ‼️You probably know this but Band of brothers also CGI and it was awesome ‼️‼️
For sure. I'm very much all for CGI just afraid it may look too polished

Should I do reactions for the show when it drops?
Given up on the The Wire then?
Absolutely not. Just can't promise weekly consistency. The wire is the only show I make time for these days other than the show I work for haha
