I have both the Phillips diamond care and just recently purchased the Oral B IO 9. I have to agree with you...Oral B definitely needs to up their game on that crappy plastic case!! But I honestly feel that the Oral B is doing a much better job of cleaning my teeth. I have that "fresh from the dentist feel" after every brushing now. The Phillips just doesn't give me as good a cleaning in between teeth and along the gum line. I'm going to start with the oil pulling at your recommendation! Thanks for your great videos. I love your honesty and thorough reviews!! PLEASE keep them coming!!
I completely agree. The Philips looks better, feels better/more exclusive - everything just seems better. Except for the actual cleaning, where the Oral B is better. Their mechanism for cleaning is superior, but the quality and feel is NOT reflective of the high price
Thank you for this review. I have the Philips DiamondClean Smart 9750. It's my second high-end Philips Sonicare smart brush. The first one stopped working, so I purchased the 9750. It also stopped working (after one year) and was very expensive compared to the previous grayish-lilac color. I mailed in the rebate receipt, and the original receipt was damaged. Philips refused to replace the over $300 9750 model. I had the previous model for over one year and didn't know it was eligible for replacement under the warranty, but they replaced it, so I returned to using it once my 9750 died. I keep hoping the 9750 will start working again, but it has not. From time to time, it attempts to turn itself on while on the charger. The Philips sounds more solid when you sit them on the table. I like the style of the Philips, but I prefer the shape of the Oral-B brush head.
There is a setting in the Philips that slowly ramps up the vibration over time to help you get over the vibrations. The tickling sensation is it stimulating your gums, so that it doing its job and that is what makes sonicare unique. Also you don't even feel the vibrations after about a week. So it should be a nonfactor. What you do notice, however, is when you go to a manual after. It's this weird sensation like your teeth are numb cuz they are so used to getting stimulation
The vibrating prong on my diamond clean became completely loose and unusable in about 10 months. Had to open it up (nightmare) and re tighten singular tiny screw that vibrated loose, holding the prong in place. That was 2 months ago and its come loose again. Just bought the I09 to replace it and hope to god this lasts
This happened to me as well, didn’t know it was fixable so just went and bought a iO’s 9 instead since it was on sale 🙋🏼♂️ Are you happy with your purchase? How’s your experience Philips vs O’ral B cleaning technique?
Only problem ive been seeing with the oral b io series is the mold build up even when daily cleaning around the 3 4 month mark due to the holes in the tooth brush.
❤ love your review zachus! After careful consideration I chose the Philips Sonicare DiamonClean. I love your presentation of the pros and cons. Like you I travel domestic and internationally and love the travel case. Question for you ….what’s up with the glass vessel and charging station. I don’t get it! It looks sloppy. I preferred the previous design that stood upright on my vanity. I must admit I DO LOVE the rose gold. 😂
I have been brushing with manual toothbrush whole my life but want to buy a electrice one. Do you recommend it for a beginner? Is Oral B IO9 good for sensitive teeth?
I think anything within your budget is ok but I was a beginner and I prefer to use the best, just something I learned a long time ago that saves me money and time usually. Both of these have sensitive settings so you should be good. I went with the Oral B because it was more sensitive to me. Like I said in the video, Phillips really was hard for me to use, it hurt my teeth but others love it or feel the opposite. The good things Amazon will let you return it if you don't like it. amzn.to/3Tadtp4
I like sonic more and I tried the very original one I feel like it really gets deep and I love that travel case Sonic is more travel friendly and I travel a ton
Great review mate, did you consider or have you tried the Oral B Genius X as an alternative? The travel case looks to be way better and so many Brush head options only down side I guess is the 12 hour charge time next to just 3 hours on the iO. Really stuck between a rock and a hard place on making a decision
iO is better. Don't worry about charge time. It holds a battery for a while so you shouldn't ever need to fully charge it often if you leave it on the base. iO 10 is out and I'll have a video coming soon.
@Zachus Thanks mate I'll stay tuned for that review. Perhaps the 9 will be reduced significantly once the 10 is introduced more in retail outlets. Being in Australia 🇦🇺 that'll be at least 3-6 months behind the US & EU / UK.
Yes for sure and also on big sale days. Here we have July and black Friday in November. That's when I got a great deal... They last long time so get the one you want for sure
Just wish oral b would actually make their travel cases better. USB C charging case with a inbuilt battery that has a button you press that's hidden underneath the lid would allow you to charge your toothbrush without an outlet (minimum 1 full charge) and USB C cables are so common that it would be one less things to carry around.
Hi! Im wondering regarding the cons for Sonicare 9750 after you use it for a while, like the minus of its toothbrush for example is it easy to clean, will the stain stays on the tooth brush and all. Thanks. Because im thinking to buy sonicare 9700. Because ive used the oral b 9000 pro and not helping with my gum and teeh that much. And i have very sensitive gum. Thanks
I always use products I do a review on for a while, usually months. It is recommended that you swap out the heads every 2-3 months depending on usage. Sonicare 9750 Replacement amzn.to/479frNb Oral-B iO 9 amzn.to/44MMdlG I'm still a fan of the Oral-B iO 9 and looking forward to the 10 (new version) amzn.to/3rSXfXZ which I'll be doing a video on soon. Lots of cool new features. Hope this helps.
Both great but i choose the Oral B iO 9 too. Because i like the display and dont like the shake on my lips, the sonicare does. But i think its very personal which you choose and you cant go wrong with one or the other. The travel box is something i really dont care about.

I have been hearing about the Oclean Flow a lot. And I was really wondering of it really is a great product , so can you please make a review about it? Btw, I really enjoyed this video I hope you continue making these.
I haven't heard of them, but I will check them out. I have some new videos coming of some other electric toothbrushes I'm trying. Snow, M0de and I'll add this to my list.
I just made the switch from Sonicare to the Oral B iO, my only regret is not switching sooner. My mouth feels way more dentist clean than with the sonicare
exact honest video i was looking for! i'm getting into my teeth more too.. Was thinking of waterpik flosser too. What's your take on the complete waterpik flosser and toothbrush in one unit vs having 2 units oral b and waterpik flosser. Thanks!!
I would say no because the water flosser is hard to use outside the shower and I prefer to brush my teeth not in the shower. If you do brush your teeth then great but I haven't found a solid toothbrush that does both anyways... I recommend getting a really good Toothbrush and a separate water flosser, this is the one I use amzn.to/3UfurS7
Yes, they are both dentist approved. You can consult your Dentist. Electric toothbrushes can be safely used on crowns and veneers. There's no warning on the box either for this.
I don't know what the date will be. I haven't found any solid info on release date. iO 9 I believe was released in August 2020 so it's been 2 years, should be soon. It looks sick. I'll be featuring it here for sure.
I have the Sonicare 9700 and I love it. I almost bought the iO9, but that small head, you mostlikely need to keep putting toothpaste on the brush several times during one episode of brushing, which I didn't like to think about. My 9700 is easily hands down my choice. BTW, I did have to replace the handle because the steel shaft that makes the brush vibrate came very loose after it was dropped in the sink. Luckly, it was still under warranty and they sent me a WHOLE NEW UNIT and it's accessories and in the gorgeous box! But I need to send my "handle" back, but they didn't say anything about sending the accessories with it. Hmmm... 🤔
I've always had a Phillip's and changed to oral b and well oral b is awful compared doesnt clean anywhere near as good and harder to get into smaller areas Phillip's wins hands down back to Phillip's I go

Philips is not just a brand , it is the emotion of million people❤❤❤
Just ordered the Oral B after my Phillips crapped out. Seems to be a thing every 2-3 years with Phillips.
In regards to the coconut oil perhaps it works well because it has anti microbiol properties to it. Another layer to kill bacteria and germs.
the sonicare diamond is a really beautiful toothbrush if u care for design but it has died on me twice now and I've had enough, im going ORAL B IO!
The Philips light even thought it’s at the bottom it vibrates at a lower and awkward frequency to let you know you are applying too much pressure
I hate long videos but this was perfect! Thank you
thanks for the vid, been waiting for this one!!
Awesome
What brush cleans better. Oral b or philips?
I think they are both the same. It's about the feel in your mouth that is different.
I love oral b because it gets my teeth more clean and it works better for my teeth and it’s a good electric toothbrush
Thanks for the great review. About to make a purchase on the Oral B.
Edit: Also liked & subbed.
Thanks for the sub and like!
Great review! Thanks 😊

What is a good sale price for the oral b ios9? Right now it’s $299 is that good price ? Or should I wait for a sale ?
I paid $299 amzn.to/3zQIENf

Is the oral-B iO series 9 dual voltage?
The travel case that comes with it is multi-voltage (110-240). Hope this helps
@@Zachus that helps, thank you
Wow, never thought Oral B is that good. But I'll still pick the Oclean Flow that I currently use since its much more affordable.
I've had both. Oral b io9 blows it out of the water.
@@DanielCalzacortathe data for both says otherwise.
Which one do you prefer? Which one cleans better?
Did you watch the video? 😁
