After 6+ years in the Band, she says she couldn't image life without Nightwish, and that her band members consider her their sister and they are her brothers. This is so good to hear and is so different compared to previous singers. Long live the present line-up! They are happy and the fans are more than happy.
As an old Nightwish fan, I'm so glad she is in the band. The best possible singer for Nightwish. Great voice, Great personality, Great Look and Great presence on the stage. This lady is perfect.
i agree - i LOVE her - she is a METAL-MAIDEN and ROCK-GODDESS. her voice-range is EPIC and i am so glad she doesnt do all that screaming crap....i dont even like hearing men do it...u know what i mean....that kinda Slip-Knot thing....how anyone can like that is beyond me

I don't mind Floor being asked the same questions over and over again. She's so sweet, smart and talented that I could hear her speak all day. Love all her interviews and I'm so happy that she's feeling good in the band and enjoying the whole experience. In the end, we're the true winners 😍
Artists tend to get asked the same questions over and over again. You just smile and reply, because your answers are new to the interviewer, or to the interviewer's audience.
I had the pleasure to see them live two days ago. My shoulders and neck still hurt like hell and there were songs where she headbanged more than me :) a fucking goddess, that one
I have totally become floored by Floor, I simply love everything she is and Nightwish with her is my favourite era and I hope to see them one day and get goosebumps in live😍🤘
Floor, I am supremely happy to hear you say that you can't picture your life w/o Nightwish because last year I became a new fan of the band and after watching many different songs by all of the singers past and present. I have to say I enjoy listening your versions of all the songs best. The other singers are extremely talented and I on their own merit enjoy listening to them but I think your on a whole other level. Oh and my wife and I had the pleasure of going to Las Vegas to see N.W. live! We drove several hundred miles to see that show "each way". I would do it again in a heart beat! Come on back soon! Also, Thank you and the band for the cd's that were pass out at the show! I love em!
so she was in fact sick for that show. i had only heard it said, so, nice to get it from her. i knew she looked relieved when she hit That Note in Buenos Aires! that could very well be Floor's first Floorgasm!
She’s so versatile vocalist able to sing in any style or type of music not mentioning different modes or chords changes but completely 180 degrees when a song at a pause and shift to different directions in tone at higher notes.
Woooooow, what a down to Earth woman, and especially one of the best female singers (metal,and not only)..Looking back to many of the American type of female superstars, on stage I can only say no thank you. She doesn't have to shake A. a. T...in order to be a star. Her incredible voice and power behind makes her the Nr. One star... bravo!!!!!

I never thought the metal world was a macho-world. I find it to be the most accepting group of people who have respect for eachother, compared to other musical genre-fans.
That is a common thign with these interviews sadly. Most just ask the same old same old questions. Granted most of these are made by small websites and/or youtube channels, not exactly filled with interviewing talents.
Wow! Great questions and video. Really a higher level than the usual... I just discovered Floor and Nightwish and am so enjoying their content. Floor is such an intriguing character, very real, positive, inspiring on so many levels. Thank you.
She is so right about the metal culture. The variety of kinds of people and the acceptance of any kind of minorities is actually one of the things that attracted me to the scene. I was gay, I was an outcast, I was a nerd, and with the rock and metal-loving people that all didn't matter, cause they saw my true colors. People like to think of it as a macho-culture, but that is just skin-deep. The heart of this world is warm and welcoming.
@Aroused floppeke There are bigots and close minded people everywhere, so you might find that, but from what I have seen, it is not part of the heavy metal culture. They reject phonies and posers, but there is acceptance and camaraderie for everybody who is into metal. If you can play instruments with an acceptable proficiency, even better.

@Aroused floppeke This scene like to share the love of metal in the first place. For them is sharing the music more imported than colour, religion ore Sexual orientation. If you look for example at the fans if Nightwish perform, you see just happiness all around. And most important no cellphones.

I like her in depth, sophisticated answers :) Nice questions asked too^^ I'm glad to hear she did not have to use #Metoo And I found it interesting and it does make sense I think, that she says the male-female balance is actually pretty nice in modern Metal bands where women join them. I think I can imagine environments where the balance is much less then in the (modern) metal world. I'm happy she feels so at home in the band, that they are her brothers and she is ther sister. She is trying to be modest,but in reality she took all that song and now she own them! She is so fucking good ,that Tarja and Anette looks like pale copies of her, never mind they were before her.... What she brought with her to the band? Singing ,of course,but she have fantastic personality,stage presence ,stage behavior and she looks like a very fine person,lioness when needed,but humble and very professional . I watched many videos from ongoing tour and she managed to be fantastic every single fucking time. Tarja couldn't do that,not to mention Anette. When you compare Floor's performances ,you can compare it between very good and fantastic,but it is mostly fantastic. She probably have flaws ,like everybody else,but on stage,she's a goddess ! She is a very beautiful women and have no special need show that more than it's needed .She can't hide it either .... The rest of the band is also amazing. They tour for 20 years and that is very long time to hang around.They had problems with old singers,but that is life.

I was talking about live performances,because NW was always fantastic live band,unlike many others in pop music,even in rock music. I always liked their live albums,much more than studio,because imperfections during live performances is what made all their singers so great and their music so good to listen. She sung keyed down versions of the band's old songs during the whole Decades tour, so she owns nothing. Why didn't she sing them in an original key, if she "owns" them like you said? It's totally OK that you like her more than Tarja (I guess you're a new fan) but that doesn't mean she is better. She is not and she won't ever be better. The best albums of Nightwish were released during the Tarja's era, their best/ most popular songs were released during that period (and these songs were specifically written for her voice) and their music was really unique with her voice. I really don't understand why Floor fans always compare her with Tarja/ Annette and try to convince the others how better she is, instead of just enjoying her voice/ music. Like it or not, Nightwish existed before Floor and they were awesome. It seems like she is a very down to earth/ nice person but some of her fans are just ridiculous, especially when they're trying to discard the band's previous singers.
I like her very much......Tarja core fun here......I have to admit she is a better fit with NW than Tarja was.....I have never thought I would ever gonna write this.....I also like her being modest; no diva stuff.....the boys are yet to ''win'' me back, as I still believe they were jerks when they fired Tarja.....and then Annette happened (no offence) so that the boys paid their dues......great musicians, no doubt about that.....
Finally I hear something positive about the '' new'' singer. Sry, but till know, I mostly heard people say: irgh.. But Tarja, tarja.. She can't be as good as tarja... Omg. When will people get over it.. Nobody will be, but at the same time, nobody wants to. Tarja was great! And it's not easy to take that part, after people loved her so much... But floor is actually really good and her voice suits the songs rlly well too. She does a rlly good job. And we all have to go with the flow and with time.. This is just how it works. I looove nightwish. I will always love them. They are a part of my late childhood- no one can change that xD also I think she is way better then Anette..
The most important thing is that they are SO different, the biggest thing to compare both of them, it's the listener personal taste. Does some one realize this? And if someone have any doubt, just see them live. She stole my heart. And I'm a big Tarja fan!
Floor doesn't try to sing like Tarja, to be better than her. She sings in her own way, or the way Tuomas writes the songs. No two people sing the same, no matter how hard they try. Everybody has unique, recognisable voices. I think that is why people like different singers.

Probably.... That is the common thing ,because they do not party all the time. Lots of musicians bring their families on tours. Her kid is still very young and need to be with mother,and to be with mother and the rest of the band in a tour bus,is childhood anybody would like to have.

We have repeating questions to start in regards to opera/ghost love score, from there we go to very pointed questions putting her in a position where they are effectivly leading her to say negativly of past singers, then we come to questions about being a female in metal, why this is even being questioned in this setting is beyond me, as Floor mentions its the social aspect that brings us together. I did enjoy hearing her thoughts on where she has been and is going with Nightwish but i would of gladly heard more about this and her start than the majority of the questions

Lol, had some night crawler set his sights too high, she would probably just've kicked the guy's butt (or the even more sensitive side) . :)) Which is basically the right thing to do.
The interviewer's questions are a bit dumb and try to make her compare herself to other singers or make her go into politics and sexism. But Floor is classy and very smart, she goes back to the present of the band, to the love all musicians have for music, whether they are men or women, and doesn't fall in the interviewer's traps. Also, she gives the interviewer a very basic singing technique class, so he stops asking things he clearly doesn't understand. Lol.

One of the true godfathers of heavy metal, Rob Halford, is gay. He did some great albums with Judas Priest.

I looove nightwish. I will always love them. They are a part of my late childhood- no one can change that xD also I think she is way better then Anette..
The most important thing is that they are SO different, the biggest thing to compare both of them, it's the listener personal taste. Does some one realize this?

Floor doesn't try to sing like Tarja, to be better than her. She sings in her own way, or the way Tuomas writes the songs. No two people sing the same, no matter how hard they try. Everybody has unique, recognisable voices. I think that is why people like different singers.

Her kid is still very young and need to be with mother,and to be with mother and the rest of the band in a tour bus,is childhood anybody would like to have.

I very much doubt a band of nightwish’s calibre still live and sleep on tour busses. They will have hotels for the majority of it I’m sure.

We have repeating questions to start in regards to opera/ghost love score, from there we go to very pointed questions putting her in a position where they are effectivly leading her to say negativly of past singers, then we come to questions about being a female in metal, why this is even being questioned in this setting is beyond me, as Floor mentions its the social aspect that brings us together.
I did enjoy hearing her thoughts on where she has been and is going with Nightwish but i would of gladly heard more about this and her start than the majority of the questions

Had the same thought. Heh. It's hard to imagine someone trying to mess with Floor.
The interviewer's questions are a bit dumb and try to make her compare herself to other singers or make her go into politics and sexism. But Floor is classy and very smart, she goes back to the present of the band, to the love all musicians have for music, whether they are men or women, and doesn't fall in the interviewer's traps. Also, she gives the interviewer a very basic singing technique class, so he stops asking things he clearly doesn't understand. Lol.
nice effort and all, but please if this is just Floor dont make the title ''Nightwish'' and dont put one of my favorite songs part by part.
