Hey Gracie!!! It’s great to see you again. I hope everything goes well with the move to the new place. Although I got quite a few wrong, they seemed a little easier than minor and major. There is a certain distinctive sound with the minor compared to the diminished. That distinctive sound is easier to hear when you are playing root position. I will keep on practicing. Please keep these videos coming. Looking forward to the next video. 😀⭐️⭐️

Thank you. Another informative video,as usual. Look forward to more teaching videos after your settle in, unpacked and rested up. I’m in favor for some refresher music theory “shorts”. They may be easier for you to post during theses busy times and keeps us all learning refreshing what we learned thus far.

Great to have you back. Sorry about your long lasting cold. NYC strains of cold can be brutal. Hope you enjoy Brighton, but moving sucks. Post more challenges like this. Thanks again.

Thank you Gracie for the challenge. It's more or less doable when you mention the first note being 1, 3 or 5. But very hard when you leave this out and i have to figure out which conversion.

Thanks so much. I got all these right after 50 years of playing the trombone in Trad Jazz bands. My new struggle is hearing the subtleties of compression and better frequency recognition to help with EQ moves. Hearing an annoying tone in a mix and thinking, oh, that's about 3.6KHz is more difficult than I expected. Creating electronic music is a great hobby.

Awesome lesson, I got two wrong but I figured, diminished chords are kinda like question marks in music to me and minor are kinda like the end of something sad, I know, I'm weird, great lesson Gracie, thanks, hope you feel better and still doing the lesson, hope your apt works out for you, moving is so stressful!

@@GracieTerzian and I've mentioned this before but that's a reflection on how great a teacher you are, you have a way of simplifying really difficult sounding things and I really appreciate what you do cause it's very helpful to me!

Your comment is very perceptive. Major and minor chords/intervals have strong resolution built in, but diminished is inherently incomplete/unresolved, demanding to move somewhere.

Merci for this. I aced this. In my dreams.
Actually I didn't do bad for someone born with two left ears. I used to joke about that, but now that I'm retired and bought a piano. At least I can use the excuse that it's more difficult with the sound of a ukulele. But I guess George Harrison wouldn't have accepted that as an excuse.
Good luck with your move. You videos have been a great help.

M S Gracie minor chords have comparative sharp sound than diminish chords , because in diminish chords two notes are flattened . But it is not easy to recognize. Thank you.

They are so close, can you get aware with using a minor where a diminished should be or will it be to obvious? Also, best wishes on your move. I also believe that you'll get inspired by the view in your new apartment and soon write a new song. Hope you are back at 100% good health. Hang in there.

    • @Zacharia503

No!! using a Minor chord instead of a Diminished sticks out like a sore thumb! You wouldn't play a Major chord instead of a Minor, would you? They're different chords, and they're there for a reason.

(Coming from guitar): Who would think so much musical training could be provided using a ukulele?

I've watched both parts and I can't tell any of them apart. I can hear a difference, but I can't tell what the difference is. I guess ear training is not for me.
