The Artist Bible is a living response to the Living Word. We are creating new artistic responses to Scripture. Our goal is to connect the artistic within the kingdom of God with every verse in Scripture until we have a Bible full of creative responses to the Word of God. By doing so, we hope to inspire the bride of Christ, illuminate truth, and show the world the unity and creativity God has given His people.

This Psalm will never stop breaking my heart, but without it there would have never been a Psalm 23...for me.
Thank you for an anointed expression bro!

    My God, My God
Oh, why have you forsaken me?
And why are you so far from saving me?
    I cry out by day
    You do not answer
I cry out by night and am not silent
Oh, be not far from me
    Be not far from me
    My God, My God
Oh, why have you forsaken me?
And why are you so far from saving me?
    I cry out by day
    You do not answer
I cry out by night and am not silent
Oh, be not far from me
    Be not far from me
    Be not far from me
    Be not far from me
    Poured out like water
    My bones out of joint
My heart turned to wax and melted within me
    My strength has dried up
    A cracked piece of clay
My tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth
    As you lay me down
    As you lay me down
In the dust of my death

I recently discovered this song on day 6 of The Artist Bible: Easter, Bible plan on the Bible app and have listened to it every night on repeat, as it really speaks to the pain and heaviness in my heart during a pro-longed season of hardship I’m currently in. Thank you for this. Wish it was available on Apple Music or Spotify

I am an ELCA Lutheran from South Carolina. Today is April 3, 2015. It is Good Friday. This psalm will most likely be read in a lot of churches today. Thank you, Jesus, for dying for us.

Thank you very much for that moving piece. It gave me a better understanding of what King David was feeling when he sang his prayer. 👍🙂👍

Hi Joel, I stumbled on this song by accident and must say how I like your style of play its a lot like mine. But more than this is the passion you give as you singing this Psalm. I really do think something like this could not be sung any other way. Sending you my thanks. Praise our Lord and saviour Jesus!

Jesus was singing or reciting this psalm 22 as he was crucified on the cross, see Matthew 27:46, and this music is rejoicing, like the bible tells of "singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs Col 3:16 to be "filled with the spirit, addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs and making melody to the Lord with your heart" Eph 5:18

Looks like somebody needs to destroy that seed of offense and ask GOD to help him forgive somebody for something in the past
