I did not sleep propped up and I look like I have under eye filler along with bags under my eyes. Also my nose is twice the size. I'll try to do better tonight. ( halo & bbl yesterday 9am.)

Sleep propped up and take antihistamines if you can! Don’t be afraid to also check in with your provider. Good news is that you should have amazing results once healed!! That’s a great treatment combo

Oh Trish. Just had mine yesterday around 2:45 pm and am on day 2 (7 am). The colloidal spray they gave me yesterday was the only thing to provide me any relief. I already ordered another since I probably used half the bottle. It is Hymed colloidal silver spray with lavender floral water. The first 3 hours were rough for me and I totally regretted doing it! By 6:30 pm, it was so much less stingy and more tolerable. The ice mask was a huge help for my face. It was on constant wash and freeze last night since my face was sticky. She did my face and whole neck and went deeper in certain areas so I had a lot of pinpoint bleeding. Sleeping was super hard but managed I 5 hours after I took my allergy pill. My cheeks are puffy up to my eyes but not Asian looking. Just swollen. I am so scared to wash my face and not sure how to rub it! Will rubbing cause stuff to fall off? Even putting the layer of cream on last night was hard since my skin is so bumpy. I kind of patted it on. She told me to not wear sunscreen inside thankfully (just if I go out but wear a hat, too). Do you know if I need to have my blinds closed all day if I am at home? I was planning on being inside for a few days but not sure of the level of sun avoidance I need to practice! This video is super helpful!!

Hey!! So happy you updated me!! I think leaving your blinds open is fine as long as you are not sitting right in front of the window frying your skin... for me when I am recovering I need to see natural lightening and feel somewhat normal! I just recovered from a surgery that I am literally uploading today. Seeing the sun light honestly helped me so much haha... I THINK the videos are rolling out today!! it took a while to edit my surgery experience videos haha! so stay tuned!! Do not be afraid to wash your face! Just use gentle motions with finger tips. As long as your gentle and do not scrub or scratch, you will be completely fine!! :) So excited for you, I hope you'll send me photos on Facebook or Instagram haha I wanna see!!! I am invested now!

I couldn’t wait to update you since you were so helpful with my questions. Washing my face gently was fine. I did put the Avene spf on since it is so milky and easy to spread. Definitely perfect for irritated skin. Did not burn at all so that will be my go-to for any laser treatments. I do not enjoy the post laser balm they gave me called Hymed balm. It is so thick like vaseline. I only have to use it for 5 days but can’t wait for that to be over. I feel like I put way too much effort in to spreading it on. Its super cold here in Pittsburgh so probably not helpful that the balm is cold.
I opened my blinds so I didn’t get too depressed. I typically go for a walk outside daily so I do get sad staying indoors. I ran out briefly in a hat to feed my wild turkeys. They always wait for breakfast by my back porch and I felt like I couldnt abandon them 😂 they are my favorite part of the morning! They probably wondered why I looked so scary.
I hope your surgery recovery goes well and you can relax and not be in pain. Sucks to stay inside on super sunny days though. What is your name on fb? I will send you a message (Joanna Marie). I am old (okay 34 haha) and dont have any other social media I post on besides FB. I hate learning new technology haha

Curious if you feel it is okay for patients who are immunocompromised to have this done? I have a halo set up for next month at a medi spa and she said as long as I am on valtrex, it is okay. I am just nervous about infection risk!

You likely will take longer to heal. For me it would depend on the condition your skin is in. I wouldn’t automatically say not to but to just be cautious and make sure the provider knows what they’re doing. I probably wouldn’t go crazy aggressive on you especially if we’ve never used any laser at all. Have you had any other aggressive treatments?

Thank you! I have had my face lasered several times for vascular things and recovered okay but this is obviously more in depth. I have been on immunosuppressants since 2011 but still want to do some beauty procedures for anti aging!

@@Joannabanana1989 vascular can be pretty intense even though it isn’t resurfacing so that makes me feel better knowing you healed fine from that.
Are they giving you a post care kit? Do you know the provider or know people who have seen them?

Vascular hurts 😆 especially the big ones she hits. She had to cauterize several bleeding capillaries on my nose. No fun. Yes there is a post laser kit and lengthy directions to follow! I dont know any other people personally that do these procedures. I have been going to this lady because my dermatologist office said she is the best laser lady in my area. She is 68 and has been doing it a long time so I have never been anywhere else. I am in Pennsylvania and cosmetic laser offices are not common where I am unfortunately so my options are limited.

@Joannabanana1989 I’ll be honest, that doesn’t seem normal that she has to cauterize those areas… but she really may be the best and if she’s a doctor than she may just be hardcore. What’s her title?
