Thank you very much for sharing your journey! So wonderful to see a video on the Halo laser done by a woman in her 60’s. I am 67 and am having the procedure in October. Working through a couple of medium peels and microneedling as prep in the months leading up to it. You glow girl!!
Oh Linda, that means so much to me. Thank you for commenting. Please know if they offer you the "laughing gas" do take it. I wish I would have done that but..... You are going to love it. :)
I have had the halo done twice and each time I promised myself to never do that again. It does hurt even though they numbed my face and it’s uncomfortable afterwards . I have a tendency to get fever blisters/ cold sores and this procedure activates them … it was awful . The results do look great for a while but it’s not permanent.
Hi Sharon, I understand exactly what you are talking about. I am not going to do it again - the downtime for me was a bit frustrating because of what I do for a living - so hard to take that kind of time off. I bet your skin looks amazing after 3 procedures. Wow!!! Thanks for sharing KC
KC, I love your “joie de vivre”. It shows in all you do. Not sure I’d have the courage to do that procedure but I certainly enjoyed learning about it and your honesty showing the healing process. I appreciate that you include the skincare products that you use and why you like them. Keep doing these tutorials, they are super helpful.
Good for you! Your face looks amazing! I am wondering if you had to have any clearance from your doctor? I know that chemical peels can sometimes be a risk depending on the depth. Is there a concern with the Halo as well? Blessings to you
No, I didn't feel that I needed that. Plus, this is a medical spa and if I needed anything I have the Nurse Prcationer to lean on and she can involve the MD.
Thanks for the informative video! Do you think the Halo reduced your lip lines enough to make it worth wild? The only reason I want to get a Halo is to reduce ( more than slightly) my lip lines, I"m happy with the look and feel of my skin otherwise. TIA
Hi there. You are so welcome. I feel that the Halo did reduce somewhat but I think filler is better for around the lips (they inject a tiny amount into each line). I think the Halo really reduced my damage to my face from sun and did help produce collagen. Hugs, KC
Hi Kelly, I drove myself but my editor was with me to film the procedure. I think it is one of those things that it would be nice to have someone with you to drive home as you want to cool your face down right away. Hugs, KC
Did you use ice to cool your face down on your way home? Can you please give us an update video? We would like to see your results after 3 or 6 months. Thanks
Hi there! I had a cooling mask on my face for awhile before I left and then let the AC in the car hit my face on the drive back home. No ice but I applied the cooling mask on and off that evening (I had a couple of extras) it felt really good but also very strange. I could do a check in (will incorporate into another video). Thank you. xo

Oh KC that is wonderful. Thank you so much. It was a big decision for me to do this but I am so glad that I did. Hugs, KC
Super helpful. Thanks. I am scared but liely going to try.. You look great. I was so surprised when you said your age.
Thank you! I know it can be scary but so worth it. Yes; 64 here! It was a little tough but worth it in the ends. Hugs, KC

Can I get it done around my mouth. Thats my worst wrinkles and melasma above my lip. And I too have so much sun damage.
Did you use ice to cool your face down on your way home?

Keep in mind, getting rid of the sun damaged skin helps to prevent future skin cancer.
Mary Jean, that is something I have never thought about. Thank you for bringing that to my attention. Hugs, KC
It isn’t vain if you want to do it and can afford it. Not for me though. Maybe one day I’ll feel differently although I’m in my 70’s.
Thank you for that. I think I am one and done as I loved the results. Hugs, KC
