Wow im in love with the camera angles and the style it was recorded! The music over play was loud but i can still hear pretty much all the raw noises. Perfect balance of everything imo.

Possibly the best e46 video ever. .... Its unfortunate that all e46 models are doomed with that sub frame problem. May have ended up in the history books for one of all times greatest.
Doomed? it's an easy fix.
At first that's what I thought too until I saw this video where they reinforced the mounts only to find the problem propogate elsewhere.
Not all have it later years were fixed off the assembly line or have a very low rate versus first few years. Like rod bearings.

It's the lad who bought it from you in Ireland here 🙋🏼♂️ today is a mad day, I sold it to one of my best mates (2016) after about a year who then garaged it until today, did around 1000miles in total in his ownership.
Collecting it tonight it's now back with us!

I'm in love with my e46 M3.It has a Billy Boat exhaust, ESS tune, K&N intake, Rogue Engineering short shifter, Stormwerks shift knob, and 19" VMR VB3 CSL replicas. I drove an e92 M3 and just didn't love it as much, but it may have just needed maintenance done on it. Anyways, I love your car. Looks beautiful.

I like to see people show love to thear BMW E30-E36-E46. Those 3 cars are really the best cars in the world in my optinion. Dont have a car yet but E30-E36 or E46 is going to be my first one for sure.

The car is fast!!!! Especially in the P500S mode. It is a little expensive when it comes to repairs. I have a third party warranty that covers some parts and labor.

This car looks amazing for its age
Car is legendary, looks incredible...but if anyone honestly thinks that this car sounds good, they need their ears tested and I own one. Inside sounds great, love the timeless look and overall an amazing car but I HATE the sound they make, especially stock, sounds like blowing into a can/Honda.

Melvyn Nicholls lol good man, that V8 never gets old. Shame what the industry is becoming with smaller engines and turbos :(
Think the e46 and M4 look better than the e92 from a lot of angles though especially the rear, just wish you could get a V8 in the M4. I'll be purchasing an M4 within 6 months as my M3 was my first car that I've had for 6 years now but as amazing as that car (M4) looks, sounds and performs, in the back of my head I just wish it had that V8.
Bet someone will put that V8 in an M4 with some other performance mods soon and it'll be absolutely perfect.
Either way, BMW is the best.

converted my smg to manual after i saw the repair cost for the smg pump when mine went out
How did it all go? do you like it more than the smg?
it was fairly easy of a project just took a while to get all the parts needed. there are a few forums that have everything you need to know to do the conversion. and i love it now but its great either way. more reliable with a standard i guess

You won't want the running costs though. I have had one for 6 years. It's not just owning a car it's more like having a relationship with a Women. There are going to be some big big highs & some even bigger Lows! But because you love them you can't let go. :-)

John Chisholm I've also owned one for almost 5 years, and have put a lot of money into it, but to be honest, there have been a lot of unneeded things that I've replaced on it, mechanically, just for peace of mind. Then things, like some that you've listed, such as clutch, wheel, brake, and accelerator sensors, ignition coils, tyres, and front and rear brakes and rotors, are basically regular maintenance type of things, that you would need to get with any car. So, almost half of the things you've replaced on your car are expected, and a little more than half were unexpected, or just replaced for your peace of mind.
Though it seems as though you've spent/invested a lot of money into your E46 M3, this car is, IMO, the best car for the price today. Nothing can give you more of a thrill, be as classy, and as reliable, for today's money. So in the long run, every penny you've spent has definitely been worth it.
John Chisholm how many km? you probably wouldnt have to change the head gasket if you changed the radiator
I'm having a really hard time choosing between E46 M3 and E92 330i , and before you scoff at 330i :) both have their respective qualities , plus is kinda hard to find a good not run down E46 M3

If you go E92 330i, get a manual; that gear box suits a N/A engine.
TheNuisance9 nah manual is out of a question , had enough of driving stick need some comfort now , and anyway both E46 M3 and E92 330i have paddles so it's pointless

TheNuisance9 I test drove 330i and 335 i and while handling seems pretty much the same there's quite a difference in acceleration plus 335i sounds amazing much better than 330i
