If it is not your cup of tea, just sell it. Every device that contains a battery has a life span. When it comes to Steamdeck, the battery will eventually die, but i am sure it will have aftermarket support for several years ahead.

How Come, If i do this and unplug, the Fan will Not Run anymore, i Had Thermal shutdown. Have to Plug battery in to let IT Work. Now runs fine but without, Not good. 🙁

This is a weird video 😅 even for me who owns 3 steamdecks now why would anyone do this?? If you just want to dock it just do it without unplugging the battery 😂😂😂 what did I just watch😅😅😅
Well, as I tried to explain in the video - I’m facing the choice now: sell or keep. I have 4 old iOS devices and 2 old macs with the same problem: dead battery. iOS don’t run on charger with dead battery. Macs do. New battery costs more than those old devices themselves.
With Steam Deck I expect the same, but sooner. Gaming devices wear out, and loosing their cost faster.
So, to know if this thing is future proof, I did this test.
I can also embed it into a car if I want to.
