David gets pole: "I was pretty happy with that......Pretty stoked"
Facial expression: :-|
lol completely in the zone :)
😂😂
"Maggiore" in the name of the track i think refears to the lake with the same name in northern italy(and in part in switzerland), really, it should be near Monza more than Mugello basically.
I live on lake Maggiore, btw
Imagine if the track was real, just imagine the carnage and salt being generated there
Awesome stuff Dave, and what a great recovery from the guy who finished 2nd! Really nice
Such consistent laps, well done! 2 things happen when you get good quality practice in: 1) Faster and qualify higher (who doesn't want that, lol) and 2) Lap times are more consistent and get less or no penalties (often underrated to raw speed). Always results in a better finish.
Bad start is fun, because you can overtake all the guys by your big pace advantage, and it feels good :D
David Perel Class mate! I like how you anylised other drivers race who were in a good fight all about everyone improving and your not all for yourself which is top class quality mate! Much respect for that a nice return to the top of the FIA podium well done! @davidperel
Thanks Rich, stoked you enjoyed this slightly different format.
Hoe gaan dit bru. Fantastic races...as always. Wesson...OMG. that was some driving!
amazin, d camera being in your back so we can see u drivin from d outside! ima watch it right now
Great video DP
Get in in in in in in in there David!!
Nice drive!
Great job!
15'43" little bit of a nudge ? the yellow car was more than half in front and there was a car's width to pass by the apex, so rather push over is it not?
Hi Coach Dave, love your content. Have you thought about using the race schedule on GTS Companion to do the track guides ahead of time? I know for the one make races it might be difficult since they're not shown on the app.
To be honest mate the gaps between each event are too close to dedicate so much time to making a video for each race. Given that I don’t do this full time I need to measure the output vs views and make sure my one or two videos a week are worthy enough for a bigger audience :)
Are we just not gonna talk about that cut at 13:57 where the position of Brea and Wesson were exactly the same between 2 laps?
😎
Love that RX-7!
assetto corsa track guides cannot be soon enough !
I agree! I want the ACC track guides to be quite detailed because there are only 10 or 12 tracks there so I want to make sure they're not rushed. But it means we're a bit light on ACC content at the moment. Coming soon mate, I promise!
Brea's fastest lap during race was probably with a bit of slipstream advantage
Good point
ACC track guides? Yes please! :)
Dave, do you have any suggestions on how to practice racecraft without racing online? My sim of choice is PC2 for the VR but the online community there is pretty dead for most classes, so I’ve been struggling to hone those skills.
My advice and I'm no pro but knowledgeable about PC2 is set the ai to a level where they will probably beat you for sure. Soon you'll be keeping up or beating them. And just have some restraint. I don't know about you but I always had to restrain from going for stupid overtakes because you know, its just the computer but it would create bad habits when racing real people online so just know when to pick your moment and pounce.
Congrats mate, random question but what editing software do you use? Cheers
I just use iMovie mate, nothing special. I’ve tried more feature-full software but I don’t really need it so I keep coming back to iMovie.
@@DavidPerel awesome, thanks 👍
Nice win. I think a reasonable option for FIA track guides would be to host a private session with the same conditions as the race. This was how I used to practice to try to understand what my strategy would be during the race. Kie25 does a lot of race practice for FIA races under the same conditions the race will have, so basing a guide off of that is an option you could explore. It could be another way to interact with the community as well on a live stream. Open the lobby to A/S racers and then you can work on your strategy under race conditions, plus you have your stream and the potential to pull out a lap guide from the stream footage. Just my two cents.
Keep up the videos. The content has been great and I'm really looking forward to your ACC track guides.
Thanks Ghost. To be honest mate the gaps between each event are too close to dedicate so much time to making a video for each race. Given that I don’t do this full time I need to measure the output vs views and make sure my one or two videos a week are worthy enough for a bigger audience :)
Totally understandable. Either way, the content is very good as it is. I fully expect the content to be less regular, once you get back into the 488.
Any advice for how to deal with those massive lunges from 6 car lengths back?
Im still new, but im pretty accepting of it unless they R4M me into next week
Just have to rely on your radar and rear view mirror to try anticipate their actions
@@DavidPerel Thanks Mate. It would be good if they could integrate a rear view with the bonnet view.
Between your videos and SuperGT's i am finding them really helpful with racing etiquette
But he cuttet a lot of corners like crazy in the first laps when he set the fastest lap.
Hey David, I race in the US F4 championship and I always drive this game with the same amount of caution that I would IRL, and I feel slow because I’m always about 1 second off the 10th time on the Top 10 Stars, in the game - and I’ve gotten really frustrated because I can’t seem to go much faster. Where do you feel you stand, since you’re a real driver and use this game?
Hey mate, I find it difficult to ignore what I’ve learned in real life when I drive sims which is why I’m never the fastest driver on the grid in the game. All simulators have some kind of quirk in their physics which you need to exploit to be fast. The problem is that you don’t want to take that habit with you to real life racing. I am aware of a few of the quirks that exist in sims but choose to ignore them, even though it makes me slower. At the end of the day if you want to be as fast as the best in these games you have to study their laps and try to mimic them, with enough practice you’ll match them. It just takes a lot of effort and time.
David Perel Thank you so much David. I’d love to drive with you sometime, because you’re right, I won’t let myself create an unrealistic habit. Until I’ve read your answer, I’ve really beaten myself up mentally thinking I wasn’t good enough; even though my races IRL say otherwise. I have my race highlights from Circuit Of The America’s, during the F1 weekend. I have 3-double overtakes on there too! My PSN is SpeedOfLight27. I’m in America so we’re in a different region for sure.
Do you know when the new dlc for acc comes out ?
No idea mate
👍⚡👍
Random question but since your so into racing, what kind of car do you drive as a daily in real life?
I sold my car in 2015 to pay for my racing at the time. These days I live in London so it’s not necessary to own one anymore. I still love Road Cars but am not that interested in owning them anymore.
@@DavidPerel Ah makes sense with everything so close there. Sounds tough gotta sell your car just to afford it but glad your enjoying it now. thanks for replying!
Do you ever dabble with street cars in private lobbies or do you just compete in sport mode?
Usually I just compete in Sport Mode mate
@@DavidPerel Makes sense. But every so often you can come across a really decent fun race.
One time I was in pole, but for some reason I was struggling a little bit in the race. But because of this the cars behind began to bunch up. And then they started fighting. And because of that I started to pull away.
Do you think that could be a good tactic or would that be considered poor race craft?
coworker: this guy thinks he's a real driver or something?
me: something like that.
thanks coach, i like the slower races, the racing is so much closer but if momoz throws you off wide, theres little chance to catch up sometimes (daily A)
Dave is an amateur driver pretending to be a Pro 😂
That group fight behind you must've had those guys sweating. I won a a race this past sunday. Which I was battling a Ferrari for a while and I had all kind of anxiety lol. Check my video on my page.
Congrats on your win.
Apparently they fixed the penalty system recently, (or changed it at least) how is it now?
Their fix was to simply remove the system entirely 🙈
@@DavidPerel Not sure if to yeet Yay or screetch Nay
😂😂
Loving your videos Dave! Keep it up! Based on you comments you know when susuka and barthus is going to be released in ACC! Give us a hint please! Greetings from Ecuador!
Honestly I’ve no idea when they’ll launch their new track pack. I’m no longer part of the beta test program so I’m out the loop now.
Nice to see you in something that doesn't look like a GT3! I don't know GTS...do they do single seaters as well?
They do mate but the single seaters are probably the least realistic element of the game
Anyone know when GT Sport plan on getting car sounds closer to their competition? Sigh....
