There is another way to get the planks but the grind might be a bit much. If you can get to 72 construction, you can build the aquarium and the mermaid hunter suit. With it you could add three Mermaid's purse to the aquarium and it will give you 20 mahogany or teak planks a week.

War's retreat, talk to War and decant 4 dose potions into 1 dose ones and then back to 4, you will get plenty of empty vials which you then bank.
You can do the same thing in Nardah.

When they released Necromancy, they changed the way XP works from killing monsters. Now, you get XP based on the amount of HP the monster has. This means there's no advantage to killing high level monsters instead of low level ones where you have higher accuracy. (unless you're going for the drops, which is fair)

Any alternate plane of existence i can enter from the desert, and leave back into the desert, is allowed.
