My best tip: Colours look _vastly_ better when you shift another layer into another tone. For example: Plain green fabric does not look as good as green fabric with a blueish low tone and a yellowish high tone. Just making low and high tones a darker or lighter version of the base colour doesn't necesarilly give a whole lot of depth.

Ok, so the reason why the default model looks like a child is because they are in something called Heroic Scale. It is a style in which the characters have exaggerated head, legs, and hands. You can see it a lot on games workshop models, especially imperial guard. It's purpose is not only to make models sturdier, but it also is a lot easier to paint and a lot more readable when looking at a model from across a table.

This is really interesting. I've always just been a really casual Hero Forge user, haven't even actually made a figure I'd buy. Was not quite satisfied with how the default humans look and I had no idea you can customize it to this degree, yours look so much better than just going with default options.

I've got a tip for anthro characters, especially felines: When using vertically slit eyes, it's a good idea to increase the pupil size to make them look dilated, or at the very least, fill the visible retina rather than looking like botched witcher eyes. I wish we had options for dilating/contracting pupils to make a character look ferocious/adorable, but for now pupil size works. On the same topic, slightly adjust the horizontal position of each eyeball so they look slightly crossed. When characters are looking at something in front of them, their eyes won't stare directly forward (a.k.a a thousand yard stare.) Usually I adjust it by about .5 on each eyeball.
Also, max out roughness on fur, or at least increase it, you don't want a coat of fur to look greasy and reflective which it will with the default 50%.

The new tiny glitch is very fresh so I haven't gotten around to making any proper guide on that- and that's assuming they won't immediately patch it. I'm afraid not on that one.
As for making objects float in the air, I have an older video called something like "Heroforge - Latest News & Updates" where I go over it in the middle of the video!
As for floating PEOPLE - I'd recommend you just pick up a link with a model that's already floating and go from there. There's plenty of em around. I have one or two of those in almost all of my videos

As a relative newbie who has made one halfway-decent double-stacked model (and I'm really only using it to add a bit more texture to her hair and make her already tattered pants even more so), it annoys me that they don't just use the same origin point for the two models or at least offset their origin points from the middle by a nice, easy-to-work-with amount. As is, it seems that no matter how close together I get the two models, they're slightly misaligned... and then I move them both two ticks to the right and they're not only still slightly misaligned, but they're slightly misaligned differently from how they were slightly misaligned before.
(The slight misalignment isn't the issue here; it's the seeming inconsistency. Having that slight misalignment reduces flickering and allows for some neat effects like split-tone dagger blades, especially on something with prominent and oddly-shaped central ridges like the shard dagger and Nature's Fury.)
