@@xiaouiris I highly recommend watching EXO live stage from Tokyo Dome Mama+Monster+Wolf. It's loaded with choreography and the boys are just on another level of energy and precision. Kai's fancams are just mind blowing, Mr Destiny has the best Kai fancams since their debut. Btw, EXO pre debut teasers are choreo oriented and mostly have Kai in them, although Lay and Sehun also show up
Just so you know, this "Jopping" video wasn't a dance practice video. As you noted, this was a "camerawork guide" video, so it was designed to show the cameramen on music shows and for concerts, etc. where they needed to be during the performance to get the maximum impact of the performance. (If you watch the MV or any of SuperM's live performances of this song you will see them performing this same dance, only better.) That is why there were cuts in the video -- to show where it was a good place to cut away when filming -- and why some of the SuperM members weren't necessarily going full out the whole time. This "practice" video was also so the members would know where the camera would be during key moments so they could plan and be ready to respond when the camera focused on them, etc. That's also why it didn't really matter if they weren't spot on perfect with the dancing. You also may notice in the video how they focus their eyes on different cameras at different moments, which is another thing this video was designed to do. This video was also meant to allow the SuperM members to practice where they should be looking at different moment, and for the cameramen to know where they wanted them to be so they could get those moments on camera, etc. The whole video was more about the camera angles than it was about the actual dancing, however, it was a good example of the choreography, nonetheless. :D
Ahh, the way you smiled seeing Taemin doing his magic :) It’s the same for me, I really love it when he’s in the center, he always brings in some unique and very satisfying moves. In general I like this routine, it’s nicely done and gives everyone a little moment to shine. Btw, it’s Taemin’s Move anniversary today - the iconic, legendary, one and only Move (my favorite choreography in whole Kpop!). Hope to see another one of your reactions to Taemin soon!

Seeing so many talented performers together, it's difficult to spot a traditional Kpop Centre. When in interview, it's definitely their most experienced star Taemin, but in performance it is not so clear. My bias is Kai also, and I find it difficult to notice anyone else when he is dancing so I may be wrong, but it does feel like he is centre more often and in the point choreo parts. They all get to shine, so maybe it is just my bias showing. I find the need to watch focus videos on the other members because even if I try not to, I only see Kai!

You made the point that kai popped when it would have been natural to lock. The song is jumping and popping jopping that’s why he didn’t lock 😂 I was so intent on listening to you it was 6 minutes in before I remembered duh he did that on purpose. Oh and I understand needing to be mentally prepared for Kai. I think I have watched every fancam of him whether I like the song or not because he is just something else to me. Sometimes I don’t believe he is a person. He’s an alien (sorry exo-l joke)
I think the choreography is quite affordable for the avengers, although I'd rather see more of Tena and Lucas instead of Kai, but I understand the idea of putting the popular Kai because it's basically about getting more attention. I followed all their preparations for the debut and for this song and I appreciate how great they did working together, seeing that they came from different groups, I really appreciate the way they work in SM, training their skills and sharing their experience with others, especially Taemin who is 14 years old experience and for me he is a model of a complete artist.
They all are popular in their respective groups. They put each member in the center for a reason, it's their personal dance style or part in the song that is required for a particular part.
