Great list. I was always a HUGE Elway and Marino fan but when you talk about the greatest to ever play the position, its between Montana and Brady (taking timeframe off the table). We have been blessed to have experienced the 80 and 90 era QB's which turned out such great talent. I did see someone mention Theismann and I have to agree he should have received an honorable mention. He put the skins on the map for sure. I also liked that QB from Chicago (cannot recall his name). He played with Frig as I recall. That guy had an edge to him. It was like the bad boys of the NFL and he was their perfect leader. My top five of all time, in no order, would be Montana, Elway, Brady, Staubach and Marino.
Not a Niners fan, but im still not sold that Brady is better than Montana. Better resume? I cant argue with that, but I truly think Montana was just as good as Tom. I think if you switched their careers, Montana gets every bit the rings that Tom has.
Absolutely. Marino didn't win a Super Bowl in the '80s. Tired of the disrespect heading Joey T.'s way all the time. Deserves better - and that damn rocket screen a year later! Ugh.
I was expecting to see Kelly as well, since he was drafted the same year as Elway and Marino. But then I remembered he played with the Houston Gamblers in the USFL for a couple of years. When that league folded Kelly was picked up by the Bills, but his defining moment with them was in the early 90's going to four straight Super Bowls.
i loved Elway's grit and Simms precision

I like that, Boomer Esiason on this list. He is one of the best leaders I have seen at the QB position.
I am a Raiders fan but moon was my favorite
Joe Theismann should have been an honarable mention

Good list and good video. Nice job.
I would switch Elway to number 2 Marino to 3 but great list Moon Could have been even greater had he not been in the Cfl for 6 seasons
And had Moon had a defense. I do think Warren was better in the 90s though. Early 90s he was NASTY.
Were is Kelly or was he after these guys

Elway is #1. Check the Sports Illustrated edition that says Elway is better than Montana. Elway was a better all around quarterback.
