Awesome video! I’m in the process of checking out the mini transformers to start with my collection too and needed some additional advice on scaling and which ones look better, this has really been a great video...oh and love the collection dude!
Great video! Btw, papa toys and mech fans toys reflector are both upscaled versions of Perfect Effect Scouting Force-X. They are the original one for that mold from many years ago. Very small but they are amazing and still holds up very good today
I'm still new to collecting transformers and I'm trying to learn the language.....can I bother you for a brief break down? Like what is legends size scale? What does chug mean? How many different sizes are there......and anything else you could throw in.......???? Great video, I'm just still lost cause I don't know the different companies, sizing and other termanolgy....
We'll to be honest, I really haven't started collecting Legends scale figures yet. I would like to purchase a few, just so I can have them next to the toyworld/Zeta combiner. Would love to purchase that ms prime, iron factory Tyrant and Starscream along with Shock wave. I love how they display next to city Bots and combiners. But just too much on my plate right now. As always great video.
This is exactly what has kept me off legends. 5 or 6 companies making them and 5/6 different scales. They think it forces brand loyalty, but it just keeps alot of people away. I have some MFT figures as my mainline legends they work great for that. I also had a couple Magic Square just to see what the hubbub was about. They were impressive but I sold them off immediately, this scale will never be for me at their price.
Nice review! Man, I love the legends scale but too many repaints and different legend sizes throw it off. If you're looking for some Legends scale Head masters lmk. I sold most of all my legends and went to Hasbro for the Siege line.
The quality, affordability, and availability of Siege has definitely helped keep me off these legends figures too. They look cool, but the lack of a unified scale is very offputting to me. Seems like a lot of work to piece together a collection that looks "right".
@@GibDozer1 plus you don't have to wait a month for these figures to come in from overseas. I was collecting Legends for over a year, had a pretty collection set. I was over the lack of QC issues with Hasbro, but with this line these figures are actually better.
Personally i think that legend scale car guys like the newage ones (jazz, the datsun dudes excetera) scale weally well (realistically speaking) with Mp-sized jet dudes (Blitzwing and the Seekers for example). The Mech Fans Toys Gears (and by extension Swerve) also scale really well with my Dx9 Blitzwing, so yeah.
I'm 100% new to Legends sized Transformers and I care about how the figures scale to Optimus Prime and Megatron. I think I'm going to start with Magic Square Megatron and Prime. If you do more vids, can you compare the figures height to those leaders? Thanks.
Just letting u know about the tp-01 Titan Power voltron is ready to ship out from ShowZ.com and tfdirect, cheaper on ShowZ.com, nontransforming golion 12in golion, stylized design like the icarus&mad toys version, mines aon it's way, Benscollectibles has a video of him, along with the Fantasy jewel black lionbot to finally complete its voltron set. We'll see if they take the Weijiang Jinbao route to continue improving or the old ko's route of continuing with low quality control products. Alot of people having trouble with the red lion's connection to the body staying in, might be just some, could be all? I haven't gotten my black lionbot yet, waiting for both, more excited about the tp-01 than the FJ version.
@@tydiriumhanger1320 got the FJ black lionbot today, but all of his issues are very present unfortunately. I had prepared for the problems I have Bondic plastic liner so I just used it 2 help out the weak ratchets in his 2arms red/green, legs were fine connections. Its best likely not to over pose this guy, he can't support his own weight in his locked arms. But looking good still with the issues.
@@cherylsaliens5451 Where do you get this Bondic plastic liner? Do you just wrap it around the tail to make it fit tighter? I want to find a way to make mine work when I get it. Thanks
@@tydiriumhanger1320 Bondic for plastics is at Amazon Ebay and true value hardware, likely hobby lobby too, not expensive at all, just be sure you're buying the one that says plastics, mistake I made once; not for metal or tin, yes that seems ridiculous but a customizer told me this on UA-cam. I need 2buy some more since you do need 2 update the sections you bond, like for 3days straight, (but don't move the sections yet,) wait&let it set then try movement after 3 applications, otherwise it's not going to stay together. It uses black light to seal, it's worked really well on my typical 3rdparty mps&chugs the last year.
@@tydiriumhanger1320 there's another option, his channel is in Spanish(Hyeronimous Gemini )+black FJ lion/voltron search; but you can see clearly what he's doing, yes you're right about wrapping (electrical tape) around the ratchet I think not positive about what kind of lining it is,then he attaches the too too small tails 2lock inside the arms while it can still gently be rotated, too hard 4me but you're better at customization than I am Mike.
I keep suggesting to people to pick up the Mechfans toys Springer. Some have complained there's no legends scale .Springer, but there is, and he's one well made, well articulated figure! Same goes.for MET Kup. My daughter has both as well.
I just got a few new Legend scale even that MFT Combat Commander & Magnus I got today they are well detailed for being so small and Magnus is pretty beefy.
The Ratchet and Ironhide are Mech Planet, Hot Soldiers, not Mech Fans Toys. Both companies had a work relationship at first, but they parted ways last year. Anyway, that's the reason why they more or less scale well with MFT. P.S. Magic Square Blaster is being KO'd by MFT and should be coming out soon, so that could be a better option for your display.👍🏻 Also, MFT's Reflector is an upsize of the Perfect Effect set, with the head sculpt from Maketoys it seems. The head on MFT Kup seems to be from Fanstoys Koot.
@@tydiriumhanger1320 Really? Because I read on MFT's Weibo that it's 12 cm tall, which makes it just as tall as the HS Prime. Here's a personal tip, if you got that info off of Showzstore, what I've noticed is that their info on heights tends to be inaccurate.
Awesome video. Try the mft megatron and ultra magnus. Jinbao optimus prime. Papatoy inferno & grapple. Kbb bumble bee. They all scale well with mechfans toys😃
Dude be careful with the seekers, their left arms(the one that goes to the cockpit)has a tendancy to break during tranformation, it happened to all 3 of my seekers.
That Iron Factory Bruticus is nice...but not an unholy $210 nice. There is a KO of the Iron Factory Bruticus, though...that seems more reasonable. Meanwhile, there's that Iron Factory Scorponok, "Lordscorpion". That's pretty sick.
@@tydiriumhanger1320 Good luck getting him. He's getting harder and harder to find for a reasonable price I think. If only a decent KO got made. I have one and I paid 65 -75 dollars for him I think, I don't remember exactly.
Mechanic Studios releases are accurate G1 show minis and thier con triple changers are absolute blast. MFTs are bigger but cheaper. u kinda think why others price thiers waay too much. Hot Soldiers and MFT minibots are for CHUG genenerations lineup coz obviously they filled what was missing with hasbro's released minibots.

This was a thought I thought as well.
