- This Chocolate Mousse
Prep time: 10 minutes
Servings: 6 portions
--------------------------------- RECIPE -----------------------------------
✨Ingredients✨
265 g dark chocolate, 60-70% cocoa
1 cup (240 ml) boiling water
2 tbsp sugar (optional)
3 tbsp hot espresso (optional)
👩🍳 Instructions
✅ Take 2 mixing bowls that fit together.
✅In to the mixing bowl (plastic or stainless) add chopped chocolate, sugar and espresso. Pour boiling water over and stir until the chocolate dissolves and there are no lumps in the mixture.
✅Into another bowl put ice cubes (8-10) and pour over cold water.
✅Place the bowl with chocolate mixture into the bowl with iced water. Put the bowl so that the bottom touches the water.
✅With a hand mixer whisk the mixture on medium speed. Nothing will happen for 4 minutes, but keep whisking until thick. Once the mixture has a fluffy consistency, stop whisking. Voila, mousse is done!
✅Divide the chocolate mousse between servings bowls/glasses
✅Serve with whipped cream and chocolate if desired
❗️Measurements Note: All recipes have been developed using weight measurements. Although US volume measurements have been included for your convenience, it is highly encouraged that you weigh your ingredients using a kitchen scale to get the best possible results. Due to the sensitive nature of baking, kitchen scales are proven to yield more accurate and consistent results than measuring cups. Enjoy!
