    Why do people keep comparing women like Ameera to Diana? Ameera has achieved great things and has made a real palpable difference for women all around the world. Not only that, she has also taken control of her life and moved on to be happy and successful instead of playing victim. Let's cherished women by their accomplishments, stop comparing them.

    You mean she broke the stéréotypes of Saudi women ( Not arabic Neither Muslim ) .
    Pease stop comparing what is happening in ' stone edge ' Kingdom of Saudi arabia with the rest of the arabic countries ( in the middle east )...
    Honestly it is very insulting for all Middle eastern women . KSA is the most backwards country , they are wahabi and , most of the time , they deeply disrespect Islam ( The men ) . Most arabic women are educated , bright and indépendant . We choose freely who to marry , whether we want to pursue a career or not . We are Doctors , Neuro surgeon , It consultant , Architects ... we speak at least 2 or 3 langages when in Europe - most struggle to speack one ... Please Google a bit so your title is correct ...

In marriage with the rich man, Where she had no duties in the household, she had more than enough time for herself and time to take care of the needs of women, which was very important to her. Her inner and outer beauty were extremely helpful. It could have ended very badly for her, but she showed a lot of courage. She has used her social and societal position for a good cause. I am very grateful to her for this and admire her for her courage in this patriarchal world, where women have no rights normally, Except for a few exceptions, like her! .

    Она молодец!
    Я считаю, что женщина сама должна решать, носить ей нарядную одежду или удобную абайю. В разных случаях уместно разное, но зачем навязывать?
    Наверное, арабские женщины СЛИШКОМ красивые, и мужчины слишком возбуждаются, глядя на них. Но это ИХ проблемы, а не проблемы женщин.
    Кроме того, фетишем для мужчин могут являться самые разные живые или, даже, неживые существа, так теперь что, под НИХ подстраиваться, что ли, и убирать от них ВЕСЬ МИР??!!

    Im sorry to say but your assumption that all muslim women should aspire to have "western modern standards" is woefully inaccurate ...its like me going back in time and insisting native americans should abide by European laws and standards ... what did it end up doing to their culture ???. It destroyed them . Westerm standrads is not a benchmark and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia does not represent the islamic faith and the standards set for women . Ameera wearing short skirts and driving does not make me feel immancipated one bit .

    • @Johanne883
      @Johanne883 Рік тому +1

      You really don't understand anything. Do you think that the world and women are fighting to change the tradition from the East or from anywhere else? Clearly, this is not what it is about, it is women's fight for equal opportunities, freedom of decision and freedom itself.
      The world is beautiful as it is, we are not the same, we each have different cultures and customs and that makes us beautiful, but that is not what it is about, a woman is no one's pet.

    • @lous.1548
      @lous.1548 Рік тому +1

      It is not Western standards to respect women . it is Islam standards, that the wahabis have changed to a patriarchy where women are treated like child and dominated .... Islam has lots of respect for women . But I agrée with the last part ' Ameera wearing short skirts and driving does not make me feel immancipated one bit ' and the fact that KSA does not represent Islam at all . they represent Wahabism , its very different . If they représented Islam they would not be killing people in Yemen ....

    It seems like you don't know about ISLAM unless what western media says. But as a Muslim community we all know that Allah has clearly stated women's rights in the Quran and the prophet (SAW) has thought us how to respect and care for women and girls. The hijab is not sign of oppression rather it's what gives us all the freedom and confidence we want . You also must know that Islam never thought to kill or murder a person who wants to live differently even their is no proselytization in Islam.

    The protesting of the hijab is unethical. The Hijab is not a political or liberal symbol of expression it is a religious symbol of modesty and submission to Allah ( God) . So I don’t believe true Muslims that know that the line between culture and religion should never be crossed and that their love of Allah should always prevail.

    Question: if she met the prince at age 18 how were they married 9 months later? If she was born in 1983 she would have been 18 in 2001, but they only wed in 2008 - that's not 9months later. That's about 7 years later. And in 2001 when Ameerah was 18 the prince was still married to his 3rd wife Kholood Al Anazi whom he only divorced in 2004...

    Si todas las personas tuvieran las facilidades que tiene ella no solo haríamos lo poco que hace ella.
    Esta mujer nació ya estrella y no estrellada como la mayoría de la población mundial. Así que menos echarse flores porque realmente lo único que ha conseguido es el estar ella bien y nadamas como todo ser humano o rico o pobre cada uno piensa por si mismo y nada ni nadie hará que cambie este mundo tan injusto.

    Decisions for a woman to wear a hijjab or cover herself is not made by her father or husband, its commanded by God. Please stop lying about this, its the woman who decides, if it was like that trust me she would not have been able to dress like that or majority of the Middle Eastern princeses would not all be dressing how they want, and they dont wear a hijjab or dress modestly. Man can ask a woman to coverherself, but if she doesnt want to, he can choose not to marry her or if married divorce her. In Islam a man cannot oppress his wife like this or in any other way, even if in Islam she has to wear a hijjab, still its her choice to follow the religion or not. If he or the father do this, they are committing a sin. So its up to the idividuals what they do with the guidance from God, its not the religions fault if men are forcing women to cover themselves. Besides, niqab or burqa are not the requirements in Islam. Just modest clothing that doesnt show the womans figure and to cover the hair and neck, the face does not have to be covered. Burqa and Niqab are not mentioned in the Qur’an or the sunnah. Saudi Arabia had the modesty police and that is wrong, its not the countries right to force women to be covered if they dont eanf to, thats between her and God, she doesnt have to answer to people, she answers to God. Just like in Iran, people started protesting about a hijjab but no one actually knows that in Iran, they are Shia Muslims and majority of women dont and never did cover their hair completely. The way they cover their hair is different, people need to look up a documentary on Iran and the people and see how in Iran women show their hair and sit with men in public and no one cares. Its not strict like it was in Saudi Arabia. Culture and religion are two separate things. Each Muslim country is of different culture and with Islam they still cling to their cultural norms, disregarding religious rules that are actually there to protect the women from oppression, like abuse etc. Many men abuse women even though thats forbidden in Islam, but culturally thats all they know and the culture allows him to get away with that. I come from a country like that and it disgusts me that they disregard their religion and commit sins knowingly, fully aware, yet proud to be Muslims. Hypocrites. The world needs to know Islam is not Saudi Arabia, Iran, Turkey Bosnia etc. Real Islam many dont even know because of Muslims not adhering to their religions teachings. I am a woman and no man ever made me wear a hijjab, I chose to follow my religions teachings because its between me and God what I do, I know my rights in Islam and no man can brainwash me about the hijjab, abuse etc. Not all Muslim men are like this, its always a minority. I know women who decided to wear a hijjab and their husbands and families were against it because of the culture. Culture is stronger in some Muslims countries than religion example Turkey and Bosnia. People told me not to wear a hijjab that I dont have to, again cultural thing. Soem countries like Turkey and Bosnia parents and families will disown their daughters if they start practising Islam all the way and dont pick and chose.
