Real Madrid 2021/22 had the greatest champions league run in my opinion. I always felt that the barca sides who have gone on to win the CL were the absolute best teams in the world at that moment. 08-09, 10-11 or 14-15.
Real Madrid on the other hand have managed to win it many times when they were not even among the best 3 sides in the world based on their form. That team has something special in champions League

All good about that 2009 Barcelona side, but the harsh truth is that they shouldn't have been at the final to start with. They reached it after beating Chelsea in what was perhaps the most controversial refereeing in a Champions League game ever.
The referees were terrible in both legs, Chelsea should've had penalties but so should've Henry in first leg and Abidal should've never seen red.
Barça were on the end of terrible refereeing against Inter the year after in both legs as well, missed out on the final in Madrid at the Bernabeu of all places, just a coincidence? 👀🤔

Real Madrid 2021/22 had the greatest champions league run in my opinion. They literally hit comebacks every game, like against PSG, Chelsea, Man city etc. and let's not forget that goated performance of Courtois in the final. bro literally won the man of the match as a goalkeeper. One thing that made this side great was they were just performing miracles every game like in that game vs man city where they were 2 goals down and man city had 99% chance of qualifying where Real Madrid had just 1% chance just 1%. even in that they scored three goals in the 90th minute to win the game and against the Chelsea game where at first Chelsea made the comeback where the score line was 3-0 and 4-3 on aggregate but then Madrid scored two goals and take the lead and eventually won the game and also not to forget that Benzema hattrick against PSG. This season of real Madrid was filled with surprises and miracles and that's what made it so great.
