It's ok, man. I get it. My son was away from me for almost 3 years. I finally got him back. NEVER GIVE UP! My dad was kept away from me for about 5 years, trust me ANYTHING is possible, just keep fighting and have faith. It'll happen, I used to ask the universe/God WHY is my son being kept from me, and when I got him back, I understood those "reasons"
Beautiful song that captures the agape love between family the same love Jesus showed. My parents helped me through hell as I was severely injured, lost my job, and everything I worked for. Almost a decade later it’s time for me to take care of them. It doesn’t matter that I’m disabled with a spine that’s bone on bone I’ll give my all to take care of them.
This pulls on every fiber of my heart. I relate so deeply. I tried so hard as a single mother of 2 ,escaping domestic abuse with no help. Dropped the ball ,more than a few times, trying to save us. My babies are grown now, the regret doesnt fade. They aare both my world, and they never gave up on me. My parents caught the ball, and held my babies when i couldnt. Struggle, this is so real, so relatable, so powerful.! You speak the truth for so many of us who have walked those rocky roads. Keep shining brother! Brianna you sing beautifully ❤

This is probably one if the best father /daughter songs I've ever heard.
I imagine he wrote this for his kids, but man word for word is how I feel about my separated wife.. I realize now I was the problem and all I ever wanted to do was lift her up and create and build with her.. but I was selfish snd only cared about myself, introduced her to struggle's music because we could resonate and relate to every song. This man just has a way of impacting things in peoples lives with his music. Been a fan for 12 years

This is the second time I listen to this song. First time I broke down.Then I sat with my sons and talked, let myself cry and tell them how I tried and tried and still feel like I failed them miserably. Not an addict but worked 3 jobs to raise them without a father and work became my drug. I missed a lot. They missed a lot. Were homeless, I married someone to keep a roof over their heads. If ever a person felt like a disgrace of a parent that's me. We're working on things now, we own a little land with a broken down single wide but it's ours. We have food and I'm not wearing the same broken boots held together with duct tape and spray painted black. Life is good. Look where we are. Thank you for this song.

I'm a recovered addict 2.5yrs, these days there are so many lost souls affected by childhood/life trauma that never find peace or proper help so addiction & music are the only things that 'fuel' them to keep going (masking the pain) but at the same time most addicts would give you the shirt off there back unaware that before someone can help someone else you have to help urself first. Kind of like when you're in an airplane & if the oxygen masks were to drop down you put yours on first!!♥️💔❤️🩹 If you've never been there then you would never understand. [We.Do.Recover.]
Man. This one hits sore spots. Any parent that has a bad past or trying to change their situation gonna feel this. Got a frog in my throat right now reflecting on how bad I messed up the past and all I wish I could go back and change. Life doesn't have rewind though so ima just keep trying to do better each day. Your music has power to inspire, fire up, and touch wounds that still need healing. This is beautiful. Truly.

Beautiful, but this hit me hard in the feeler’s, because I can relate from when I was in my active addiction days and wasn’t there for my kids like I should’ve been. However it took my husband getting killed in 2020 to slap me sober and I have continued to be. And although my kid’s and I have a great relationship now, I will spend the rest of my life trying to be the best Mama to them.
