More of this for other fighters martial! I’ve always enjoyed the role playing style of playing ufc 4, I think I speak for others saying we’d love to see more of it.
bro it’s nuts how i’m still learning new things from you, after watching as long as i have and playing ufc games as long as i have i’m at a point where i win most matches get to 2100 plus points with ease and i am just now learning you can slip or pull that uppercut on the clinch exit, just leveled up my game again thanks martial
My pleasure! Glad I can be of service. Just remember, you have to be quick with it. You have to anticipate the punch and slip AS SOON as you exit the clinch. I would go for a PULL cos most people wanna throw a hook on the exit. If you pull quick enough they will miss.
Jon said he’s gunna wrestle way more. Said it’s way less risky with a higher pay off. I think people forgot how good he was on the ground. Great point on the foot sweep on the heavier dudes too!
@ martial . To comment about why he didn't continue to try mixing in his wrestling a lot more after some early success against stipe with his take downs. I was watching a podcast a couple weeks ago where micheal cheiesa was talking about coming back after some back problems. He stated in that podcast that DC talked him out of getting stem cell surgery to correct his on going back problems. He mentioned how DC talked about how he had the stem cell surgery on his back in the latter part of his career . and after he had got the surgery he could never wrestle the same and his take downs was never the same and it bothered his back still. So much to wrestle. That's why toward the last part of his career we seen him apply a more striking heavy approach to his game and not rely on his wrestling much any more. Idk if that's why he bailed on his wrestling in the last 2 stipe fights or not but it's a strong possibility to why he did maybe ?
@@siraajhabib8491 I mean the man had back problems for at least a year before the second Stipe fight and I can only imagine it got worse the third fight DCs body just couldn’t take it
Daniel is the perfect description of the hard labor man's body and why it was so great to watch him smash...because all of us can picture one of our manual labor family members that were larger(in my case my adopted dad man was 6'2" or so and I've seen him outsprint college football players in a 40...smokes me and I was a sprinter at the time...now I know he destroy me rofl) idk Daniel gives me that real dad strength vibe rofl I could see him carrying metal twice his weight it's just his build...kinda like saying a dudes corn fed or got farm build your not ripped and there is fat but the muscle is where it needs to be
Honestly his speed and power is pretty underrated like even in his fights against Jon Jones the first fight was way more competitive then most people think Dac simply gased out and in the second fight he was winning both rounds before getting hit clean on the chin, shin to chin and he took it pretty well even then and he really looked good in that fight too he doesn’t get enough credit for being an elite level athlete
I’d love to see you try it with Mateusz Gamrot. (Stance switches, using mostly southpaw, constant wrestling and a safe standup game without really brawling)
Each fighter is responsible for their actions (or lack thereof) in the cage. The fact that Cormier lost his matches can be explained as tunnel vision or maybe trying to best an opponent at their own game. Or maybe it's like UFC video gaming - maybe he didn't want folks to complain that all he did was lay on someone the whole match. DC isn't the only one. Rumble did it against DC, too...dude kept trying to wrestle DC when Rumble was such a great striker (he knocked DC halfway across the mat). There are a few others I've seen get fixated on only one aspect of fighting, too. I think sometimes folks just get stuck or hyper-focused on one thing. The DC fights against Stipe, though...I'm gonna say this and folks might complain about it, but in ALL three of those matches, DC eye-poked the shit out of Stipe, which I firmly believe is how he knocked out Stipe (Stipe couldn't see). The second match, Stipe's face looked like it got raked for 30 min across the face. The third match, he was getting poked as well and the ref said something. Stipe poked him back - no idea if it was purposely done but at that point, I wouldn't have blamed him if it were purposely done and that's when DC started having issues (his eye was straight-up F'ed up). He complained about the eye-poke after the fight, too. I don't know if it's just the way he defends (since he doesn't tend to have as much reach as some of the other fighters) or if he just doesn't care, but it seems a trend to me, at least in the fights against Stipe.
In all honesty both stipe and Jon are extremely lucky for dc being how old that he was when he fought them. Maybe against Jon it would’ve stayed the same result but I could definitely have seen him with a greater chance of winning with having been younger or same age as jones when he fought him.
This was fire! More like this bro. Plz do the same type of video but with one of my favorit fighters Alexander Gustafsson. I’m training boxing and love all fighters with a deep boxing background.
I love the fighter model of DC. It looks way more realistic than many others. Others have always rock solid 24/7 flexed abs. For example Nate Diaz's model is ripped to the point it looks unrealistic.
this video concept is so awesome, try to perfect the izzy faint outside fighting style, i remember you doing a similar video like that with O Malley but you've gotten even better since then i think you could perfect it with style bender!
All of DCs loses were fights where he didn't wrestle (enough) and tried to strike too much imo. Like he wanted to ko Jones so bad lol. His earlier fights were wrestling clinics!
Throughout the history of the UFC and MMA a lot of grapplers get caught up in focusing too much on striking and kinda forget to use the best tool in their arsenal. I never understood why really good wrestlers did not learn and use submissions more. Most of the time if they want to take someone down they will do it pretty easily, so why not lock in a choke or something once they hit the ground. I think it's a dumb machismo thing, but I could be wrong. I had one MMA fight in my life 20 years ago, nowhere near high level, but as soon as we got to the ground I worked for the submission and got it. I was not interested in standing and banging nor was I going to waste energy with ground and pound for three rounds. I got the fight to the ground used punches to open up a submission opportunity then I went for the choke. I have been watching MMA since I was a teenager in the mid 90s from UFC 2 that I saw live on ppv, I watched Pancrase, Pride, Rings, king of the cage etc. and it always blew my mind to watch grapplers not use grappling as much as they should or could.
I think you do a double leg, and then cancel it with holding the block button, but you need to be in the motion first, if you do it too fast it won’t work
I wish more people would be open to grappling on ufc 4 online. Its an mma game and striking in mma is inherently tied to the threat of the takedown/grappling and thats what distinguishes it from pure kickboxing. The amount of people who instantly rage quit when you land a takedown irks me. If Im playing as a wrestler/grappler and youre playing as a striker, it would be a silly/unrealistic mma strategy to stand n bang the WHOLE fight.

Think the best compliment i've seen paid to Jon Jones was DC commenting on the fighting sense he showed when he leg kicked him to spin him after landing a head kick and buzzing DC. Would generally give DC the advantage skill wise and even physically against Jon but, that instinctual sense of how best to take people apart gives Jon an advantage even against people can match him elsewhere.
