I think you live and learn making videos. I really wanted to have my own thoughts when I looked at gardens, so I finally figured out other people liked it too! Thank you for visiting my garden.
Beyond anything that I expected to see, Marie! It's like a park or a botanic garden. And the birds' songs are such an added bonus. I am nursing my cold, lying in bed taking your tour and I'm already beginning to feel more alive. Thank you, dear Marie, for sharing this with us. It's an absolute delight.
Marie, i love your videos ... the sounds of nature are so relaxing. I love it that you don’t talk through the entire video! 🤣😂Thanks for that! I go back and watch over and over again. ♥️
I'm glad you were pleased; I like to watch them in the winter myself and was having to turn the sound off so I would not hear my voice; now I get to hear nature in the winter and view it too!
This is the best way to start and set the tone for the entire day. Pure peace and serenity. You were able to allow the viewer to enjoy the garden with just its natural sound of nature. Thank you for allowing me to view
It is looking great, Marie! Lush and beautiful- especially that yellow flowered vine and the lilies. Wonderful hearing the Mourning Doves, too, and seeing the baby robins plus hearing all the other twittering going on. It is a perfect spot to tuck your art work into nooks and crannies.Thank you for the tour of your cozy garden.
This video popped up and even though you don't do garden tours any more; I still think of your lovely garden 🧡 I trust all is well with you and your family Best Wishes
Thanks for sharing this most beautiful and natural video of a wonderful garden with lots of beautiful flowers, plants and the sound of gorgeous birds! Soooo lovely!
Thank you for the visit. The birds are going wild right now. They are as glad as I am to see spring. I'm working on the yard now getting ready too mulch.
I love garden sounds too. It has started again in my area. I get up at dawn, go feed the birds, perk my coffee and then me and the dog listen to the bird singing while we wait on everyone else to get up.
Thank you. My husband and I are working on 20 c yards of mulch right now to get ready for this season. If all goes well I will have a new video this fall!
Waaw, This is almost like watching "Flower Show" in Philadelphia,or even better . Every corner of beauty of nature .Fantastic concept .How many people working there to keep up this beauty? Congratulation .Love this .
Beautiful garden, I get in Love with Thank's 💕 for the video. Lovely and peaceful, I love your dogs, I also have, they enjoyed walk around 😁 We are at N.Jersey the weather doesn't help to much!! Yo hice UN Jardin dentro de la casa. El invierno es muy largo aqui. 😬 Indoor garden💞 My bonds don't like the cold outside. God bless you 🤗
Lov your garden! I'm working on mine. I lov seeing yor hummingbirds. I have a feeder too. I'm also getting a butterfly feeder, after seeing a butterfly try to drink from my hummer feeder. Also making a butterfly puddler. What a great relaxing garden. Bet you spend hrs & hrs there. I would too.
What a wonderfull garden you have! Thank you for this video about your little paradise! Marry Christmas and a happy new (garden-) Year! Greatings from Germany!
Beautiful! Thanks for posting an update of your garden. Excuse my ignorance but what is the climber at around the 0.55sec mark? The bees obviously love it!
Hi Irene, Thanks for the visit. It is called Cross Vine. It grows wild in my yard, but this one is not. I bought it from a nursery. The ones from the nursery get bigger blooms. I love it. Mine does not lose it leaves in the winter since it is native here. You can read about it here: www.monrovia.com/plant-catalog/plants/358/tangerine-beauty-crossvine/
Thanks. I find myself thinking more of how to attract the birds and critters with my plants than I do the plants themselves. I've started buying viburnums and beauty bush and roses that have the red hips and anything that produces food to make them want to come here. Many birds don't use feeders. I have 3 native mulberry trees in my yard and I bought two cherry trees this year that I hope made it. It was so dry for a long time.
Me too! I try and plant for bird, bees, butterflies. Have planted 9 x Rugosa Roses for the rosehips. The only milkweed I can source here is the Swan Plant (Asclepias Fruticosa). I have definitely overplanted but that is better rather than having a few sparse plants about the place, you can always thin out. We have just recently installed a Microbat Nest Box which hopefully will attract the microbats as we have enough mosquitoes to feed a battalion! Have been watching videos of Carolyn Puckett, Marleen Manos Jones and Margaret Roach. Re dryness: I have to do a lot of hand watering (lugging a watering can) as apart from the hose not reaching way down the back of the plot, a lot of trees: olives, citrus, fig, apples, etc etc (I told you I overplanted!) need a deep watering rather than just hosed. Sorry, that all must be like 'teaching my grandmother to suck eggs' .Hopefully you are familiar with that saying! I think we are about the same age (60s) so I am not inferring you could be my grandmother! You could teach me! The most frustrating thing for me is that at my age (67) and just starting to establish a garden I will never see it to fruition. Just as well I like digging holes and plonking plants in!
I checked your Google page earlier to see if you has posted anymore video(s). I'll be watching for them. I grew up on this property and got my 1.5 acres from my Dad when I was in my 20's and moved on it when I was 38. Time flew by! I've seen plots that were 5 years old that looked better than things much older. You are doing it right. I could tell from your video you took some time to design your dream! My grandfather bought 80 acres if I remember right here in the 30's and he only had two children and now his children's children and his grandchildren and great grandchildren own homes here. The property was so beautiful with the lake, the woods, and the farmland that no one wants to leave it I guess. I hope your garden grows in very fast and may you live to see it!
as others have said it's beautiful and the birds are lovely, unfortunately they have all but disappeared around my home due to the surrounding construction, ive tried bird feeders and some bird houses but they choose to go elsewhere now.
Thanks for watching Diego. How sad for the birds to leave! I've read that they also are drawn to bird baths. I'd say it would take quite some time to build them back up. If you had a covered feeder where the feed will stay fresh and not go bad, then you would have feed out just in case. Maybe you need to just find you a cute little new spot. Big thank you for not playing music. Love the sounds of nature. Beautiful garden.

Thank you for the tour it has brought me pure joy to be allowed into your backyard. May I ask what are the purple flowers at 8:55 ?
They are hosta which bloom about mid summer. They are a bee magnet so I am very thankful to have them. Thank you for your visit to my garden,
