  • There was an awesome collection of survivor cars at the Corvette Expo and Chevys in the Smokies event in Pigeon Forge, TN. This event used to JUST be Corvettes, but has expanded to include Chevelle, Camaro, Nova, and other classic Chevys. I loved the collection of survivors on display, including a Z16 Chevelle, two low mileage Super Sport cars, an '80s Street Machine and a record holding Camaro drag car that still wears some old school paint. Others include a '63 Corvette, and the highest mileage '67 Corvette on record. There are a few other bonus clips in there as well, including a vintage stinger hood that I bought to put on my '64 Corvette coupe. Lots of great stuff, hope you enjoy!

Beautiful cars! Love those Malibus and Camaros. 😎 Over 200,000 miles on a classic vette? Amazing! True love of driving! Thanks for sharing!

Great job. I really dig the mag-type wheel covers with redlines. Instantly turns cars of this era into full-size Hot Wheels!

Back in the late 80's, my friend had a '70 'vette with a 454 decked out very similar to that '68 Camaro. The colors were just about the same, the "bass boat" look as I like to call it. I wish I knew who painted that because it's almost identical.

Wow! That was an awesome video. 1 sweet car after another. So many gems, it would be hard for me to pick 1 favorite. I really liked the paint job on the 68 Camaro, loved the 65 Chevelle Z16, loved the green 68 Chevelle with the custom hubcaps. Actually, I think I just loved them all. Lol. Thanks for the video. Thoroughly enjoyed it

The hubcaps on the green 1968 Chevelle are not custom. They were about a $75 option in 66-68. I believe they were standard on the 1965 Z-16's. Thanks for noticing them

That 1968 Chevelle color is stunning. I had never seen a Grecian green painted car. What a stunner. They should bring it back.

The Grecian Green 1968 Chevelle is mine. Thanks for including it. Just as a note, the vinyl top is original also!

Those low mile survivor cars make me shake my head and wonder "why?", the owners couldn't have gotten any joy out of them, probably too scared to race them or park them anywhere other than a car show or their garage, the two worn vettes most likely had very happy owners who got their monies worth.

That Camaro looks like 70's but I guess early 80's too. I painted my brother's 69 Camaro with regal blue firemist in the early 80's, a very popular color at the time, I believe it was a Cadillac color.

I was at that show last year. Great show. The highlight for me was a 67 Chevelle SS396 with what was claimed to have 42 actual miles on it!

Wish I would of know about this. I don't have a survivor SS or 2 door but I have a survivor 1966 Chevelle 4 door hardtop with 82k miles, factory paint, interior and, drivetrain. It's also a family heirloom.

  • @DanEBoyd

LOVE that '68! I recently learned that even Buick (along with everyone else) used those Deluxe mag-style wheel covers, complete with a Buick 'crest of shields' center-badge!
And I can't remember ever seeing the Chevelle full wheelcovers with that SS center-badge!! Most are seen with Magnum 500s, or dog dish hub caps.
$4342 wasn't cheap back in the day, but the Z16 was worth it.
I'm guessing those stripes on the hood were done with an airbrush. Very 1970s!

You didn't spend much time with the Yellow or the black 327 Chevelles with as you called them little 327s. I have no idea what 327 is in the Crocus yellow Chevelle you ran by it so fast. But the black one appeared to have an L79 327 350 hp. Of course, we don't know what transmissions were in them. Spend a little time on everything, not just the ones you like.
