Ya I want this exhaust set up what header did you go with ? And you said racing beat mid pipe? I was thinking about racing beat single exit muffler but the hks comes out on driver side and it's cheaper
I have never run a header on an rx8. To little gain for the cost and added noise. I think the hks hi power is great value. Racing Beat dual resonated midpipe is the best thing since sliced bread
since i'm not winning trophies on the street, it's nice to be a little more subtle. plus i didn't feel much difference in power, certainly not until the very high RPMs. It's a quick and easy two bolts to remove when i'm competing.
Restricted, how so? Stock renesis is one of the most powerful NA horsepower per liter engines. Mazda did a great job. The plan is to use the silencer on the street and remove during competition. I'm not planning on winning trophies on the street

Did the silencer make a big difference to sound and drone?
it cuts the sound overall. it did not really target the drone, just reduced the drone by the same as it quieted everything else. it is livable now.
i don't know, it seems like all it does is choke down power versus having a proper muffler on the car
