What would the wastage equate to on these? I built an inline fence feeder and went to almost zero waste. Only problem is we're doing a lot of cross fencing and would have to build 9 more. Something like what you've done seems like it would be just right.
Nice looking panels. What are your thoughts a year later? Are the slats the right dimensions? I want to build something slanted like this so the cows can't throw hay around when they're eating it. Looks like they still have a lot of movement with your dimensions... Too much movement up and down? How about side to side? just right?
Thank you. The spacing between the slants are 13 1/2” and the angle of the slants are 22.5 degrees. It seems to work well I have had no issue with calves getting through them. Let me know if you have any other questions, hope that helps. Thanks for watching.
Jamie Green The material was just over $500 to build 4 complete panels. I’m sure the price of steel may vary depending on the area. Thanks for watching hope that helps.
I like what you've. It looks like an idea that I had years ago!
Very interesting panels great job thanks ..
Buen trabajo 👍. Amigo 👌🏻✌️
Awesome
What size animals you set them up for? Looks beautiful. Only thing gat needs is a brace put in your corner so a cow can't hang if they fall

Sowerscattleco Thanks Will, I appreciate all your help and suggestions.
Nice work - what is the overall height.
I was just wondering how did you get the measurements for the middle bits of steel

Did you come to a conclusion on the right spacing? I have the same question.
How much do the 10 foot panels weigh? Apologies if someone already asked.
Inspiring. What you doing this Spring? I could use a good hand like you!
Jim Turner Thank you. Probably finishing my Corrals and a lot more fencing. I appreciate you watching.

Thanks men
I'm fixing to try my hand at making a hay manger myself, do you know what your dimensions were off hand I heard the slants should be 18 inch centers?
