I think that this is the most clever mini camper modification that I have seen. Well planned and executed. It is amazing how you managed to put all these tings in a such small space. I also love the fact that all that structure breaks into small pieces for storage when you don’t use it. Genius!
Love this! So many ideas here. I've watched it several times. What a great idea using hitch clips with the hinges for fast assembly and removal. Many thanks for posting as it gives me ideas for my small vehicle.
My goodness, that was really incredible. Such ingenuity. What I really liked, more than the clever way of assembling and disassembling all the components, was how this man made it like a home. Rather than just look at those plastic bins, which while functional are rather ugly, he took the time and effort to make some wooden false drawer fronts. That just completely changed the mood of the whole van. As an artist it is very hard for me to be in ugly surroundings. I would have had to do the very same thing.
Agree -- plus I would like to see a foldable box cover over the toilet to use it as a desk/table instead of just leaving it out in the open, taking up space...grin ';'^)
That is a cute and portable version of a micro house where everything are foldable, adjustable as well as fully customizable, it has many things in store hidden in small spaces while fully mobile. These can be manufactured with the permission of the owner. :) winning design sir. The drawers, and all the cabinets as well as the bed are all tuck neatly inside the compact micro car. It is genuine ingenious. Congratulations.
Ingenious! I especially like the solar panel on the lid that lifts to an angle, the use of cotter pins in hinges, and the window ventilation system. Wow.
brilliant. I can't imagine the time, cost and preparation it took this genius to plan this whole project. I need someone like that in my life. amazing.

@@livinginamobilehome5410 I have seen many videos about a project like yours, and you are the only one who uses this great and simple way of fastening the units together, this is just super.

Could be. But if that's the case, then why are there so many ordinances virtually EVERYWHERE in the U.S. that prohibit people from living in a van (or even sleeping in it overnight, parked on the side of a road) -- except in an RV campsite? So much for a "free country".

I have Wagon R VXI and would have never Imagine that it can be used for Camping. Love it the way you did it, amazing. If you still do camping with Wagon R then get a customized bracket for spare wheel and get that fixed on your back door. so you don't need to take everything out in case of any damaged to the tyre. All the best.
I have been looking at small vehicles that would suit a mini conversion for myself. This Suzuki Wagon is perfect. Suzuki also make the identical AGILA for Vauxhall/opal. With the coming Ultra Low Emission Zone here in London. This vehicle ticks all the boxes. Thank you for the inspiration! And the hinge/ split pin hack, genius!
Even more impressive than the phenomenally inventive and creative use of space in such a tiny vehicle (in itself a major achievement) is the balletic integration and attachment of all the modular components to bring to life what is probably the most thoroughly practical micro car camper ever created! The mind and eye that envisioned this masterful concept have been ably assisted by the hands of the craftsman to bring to life this astonishingly clever delight of a micro camper. Many thanks for sharing.
My husband and I loved this video and loved the lightness of using the plastic containers.. we might do this and or go with a non-build that we saw on here.. great idea's!!!

BEST BASIC TUTORIAL ON LIVING OUT OF SMALL/MIDSIZE VEHICLE! NO OPINIONS. NO TALKING. JUST SHOWING HOW YOU CAN PIECE TOGETHER A USABLE LIVING SPACE IF YOU FIND YOURSELF, OR YOU AND A DEAR ONE IN SUDDEN NEED OF THAT. It doesn't say it, but it OBVIOUSLY takes VERY good measurements and testing that the base fits BEFORE you build from there. Working with wood or double corrugated plastic boards, you can always cut down, but adding back an 1/8 of in inch.. is just a bummer. :) I LOVED THIS. I feel I could work in my garage all summer on and off (I'm disabled) and build a living space for the bed of my truck.. and still pull the smallest trailer for my animal(s). AND I think I could put a shower in one side of the trailer. So very useful if I keep it light with the plastics instead of wood materials.

@@livinginamobilehome5410 have you done this for others for a price?
@@karenclabaugh5416 No, he did not
Well done. Nice little build project. I'm amazed though why people always have to have everything fixed in place and in corners and at right angles 90° to look and call a vehicle a camper. Even a micro camper.
I've bought myself a cheap car - Opel Astra break 1.4i. Very low mileage and very cheap to run.
I made a wooden bed with mattress like you have. It can be double or single in the back.
The rest all fits into a wooden box that I can store in the boot with the seats up.
My rubbish bin is a plastic bag - biodegradable.
My cooking is a double ring gaz camper thing with all cooking ustensils.
My water is kept in a 40 lt water tank with integrated water pump I also use as a shower.
My sink (when needed) is a plastic bowl.
The bed probably takes 5 minutes to fit - double or single.
I have a small table and 2 chairs I was given.
The rest is put out where and when I need it. No need to have a defined space for it... but I like this little camper. Nice.
For hot weather when I'm out in the countryside I have a military camping bed with a sleeping bag and sleep outside.
The need to sleep in a box is something I don't grasp, unless it is to keep warm in the winter or in town.
+Team33 We also had a astra, a verry reliable car indeed
So, where do we get the plans for building these items so we can modify them to fit our own vehicle specifications? This is, indeed, pure genius.
