Thank you. Because of you and your tips and how to do it. I have finally skimmed my entire house and done everything you have said in the videos. Thank you so much mate
@@POUSEaroundtheHOUSE got on brilliant mate and plastered very well too! Although it was a small part it looks professional. I was supposed to get a plasterer in, but due to covid and lack of work and now money this video was a god send thank you
Thanks for all of the Pouse around the House videos, by far the most informative and helpful videos I have seen. I have a question for you though. I have plastered my entire house from top to bottom and it looks bang on, thanks to you my friend, but I have hit a horrible angle that is driving me insane. In the stair well from the landing to hallway, we have a vertical wall coming down from the landing ceiling, which is fine no problems there but, as it comes down the stairs the wall then goes into another ceiling which follows the flow of the stairs down until it merges into the hall ceiling. This creates an angle from the vertical wall onto the stair ceiling of around 120 approximately. The average angle bead will surely be no good in this situation, would I need a stop bead instead? Thanks again for all the videos my friend, I have told others to get on here and check out your channel:)
Thanks for the feedback Phil, very kind. You can either free hand a curve with your trowel, or as you say use stop bead if you want a crisp straight edge. I show how to do that in the following video, How to plaster an outside 45 degree corner - ua-cam.com/video/I-VL4KWcu-c/v-deo.html. Different angle bu same principle. Hopefully this video will help. I have other plastering videos under my plastering playlist on my channel. Good luck and thanks for watching!
I had a plasterer fit metal corner beading to all my windowsills, however he left it in an unfinished state. He attached the beading with nails and used easyfill over the top. It all needs sanding back and a third or possibly even fourth coat of easyfill before final sanding. I’ve heard easyfill doesn’t stick well to fully cured easyfill. My question is - is there a primer such as Zinzzer Gardz that I need to apply to the dried easyfill to allow the new easyfill to adhere?
Will you be doing a video on plastering this wall? I know you have some already, but searching youtube there aren't many plastering videos out there. so always nice to see another.
Hi, yes I filmed plastering that wall, just have to edit it. Should be on here in a few weeks time. Thanks for the interest. For regular videos please subscribe and thanks for watching!
Great video! The corner I'm working on has a small section that is bent out of place, as well as a hole. I had shelves up on a crumbling cement wall. Would I still be able to do this? Should I hammer the wall back into being straight?
P@the House... Thanks for the vid... Any ideas how I can re-square jointed plaster-board that has taken some knocks over the years? The corner beading looks like SS, and I'm trying to figure out if some skillfull plastering will do the job or not, plaster is brittle of course so I'm not sure what to do. Effectively the paint on the walls is fine (once rejuvenated) until it gets to the corner of the wall and then all I see is metal on the lip
Anything really, but i use an old milk bottle, add pva, top up with water to right level, lid on then shake. You can put lid back on to preserve it until you next use it. Hope that helps.
My corner beads seem to have been two separate panels to begin with and have split from knocks or gone bumpy by windows. Will they need to be removed in order to add new ones as per video?
Hi Terry, I agree and do also use that method but the video is more aimed at beginners who would probably panic at the thought of getting plaster smooth and bedding a bead. I also find this method useful if I'm doing some prep work on other walls so that all the walls are ready to go in one hit. Thanks for feedback, it's great for viewers to see the range of DIY applications and sharing knowledge like that is key. Thanks for watching!

Sorry for late reply. If only a few chips then use a filler to fill small holes, sand it back then repaint. Hope that helps.
Hi bud how do u measure out the water and pva do u use a cup or the lid of the pva wat pva would u recommend mate

Great video...Can I do this process with Bonding too ? Cheers mate
Dab them on with pink grip and if background is soft enough nail them with clout nails
Thanks for the tip.
Thanks for tip I'm now about to attempt a room for 1st time, lol
I can see disaster but you have to learn lol
Hope it went well!
if it gets bashed when moving heavy furniture etc i prefer the idea of them being fixed to the wall
Very true,, I use small, 20mm galvanised nails, they go through the plaster no problem.
@@RobinHood-uv6uw yeah mate same here 👍
Can I use this method to attach to plasterboard?
I would say so
Thanks again mate
Thank you!
Thanks 👍
