Thank you so much for sharing!! I am hoping to transfer to BU and this was so incredibly helpful. Would you recommend the program for someone who wants to dive deeper into production and editing? Would you say there are lots of options and courses for someone with these interests?
hey!! thanks so much for watching :) i would say that there are definitely a lot of production opportunities on campus! i’m not sure about editing since that wasn’t my focus, but we do have a few classes on editing!
hi!!! so happy to be of help!! there is no specific application process for this program aside from applying to the college of communication! i believe you CAN submit a portfolio of work if you’d like, but i didn’t submit one personally!
hello! i just got accepted into the film program in bu! :) i just wanted to know if you recommend double majoring while in the program. i'm interested in double majoring in advertising or journalism (still undecided) along with film/tv. do you know people that double major? or is it too difficult? thank you for the video!
hey!! first off, congratulations on your acceptance! that is so awesome :) double majoring in film & tv can be tough BUT if you come in already knowing you want to double major then i think it’s 100% doable since you can make a plan early on! i do know people who successfully double major in ftv and other things at com! i feel like i learned so much just being ftv but looking back i kinda think double majoring in ftv and advertising would have been pretty cool lol :) besides, you can always start off as a double major and then switch one to a minor if it gets too difficult! nothing to lose :) hope that helps!
hey! so the nice thing about the film and tv major at BU is that it doesn’t force you to select a specific concentration. you can choose to take classes in what you’re interested in! BU is fairly focused on production, they do have a couple directing classes (maybe check bc it’s been a couple years now for me lol) and there are a LOT of production opportunities like BUTV10 and helping your classmates out on student projects!
This was so incredibly helpful, I haven't been able to find any other videos with so much information on the film program, thank you so much!
aw i’m so happy to hear that!!! :) def let me know if you have any other questions!
Thank you for making this video!
thank YOU so much for watching and leaving a comment!!♥️ wishing you all the best with ur college journey! :)

Is the program at BU focused more on production or is it focused more one theory? I want to study to become a director.
