And welcome back to another Tekken 8 video on the channel!
I know Its been awhile In the aftermath of 8’s story, and having nearly 30 years of lore at our finger tips here, one big question that did come to mind, was just who were the strongest bosses In the series? and how would they actually rank up against each other throughout the franchise?
In todays video i will be doing an in-depth analysis of the bosses of the franchise, ranking them according to their power level of what Is either established In the games universe!

Heihachi didn't fight Devil in Tekken 2
Fighting against True Devil Kazuya has been difficult, but it’s also quite a thrill. Also, playing as Angel Jin is the coolest moment that’s ever happened in the game.
On hard mode in story mode it was pretty damn rough, prob would have been much easier for someone who knows how to play devil Jin. I'm referring to the last part where he has two health bars and does the unlockable energy pulses.

I wouldn't put losing to Paul Phoenix as a knock against ogre. Because before he beat him he mopped the floor with Heihachi Mishima for the second time.
Back in the days when Paul Poenix was taken seriously, even being a rival to Kazuya.
But after Tekken 4 they put him in the joke chair
6:04 and porpably the only person that kazuya truly feared and in their last fight he had that flash back when he was a kid showing that kazuya still felt like an ant comapred to his father

If Jinpachi actually wasn't possessed by the devil gene, then they should have explored more about that vengeful spirit ghost that possessed Jinpachi

I miss Jinpachi so much and I'd wish for him to comeback someday in any shape or form😢. Unfortunately his voice actor is no more, RIP to him.
There’s a line in yoshimitsu’s bio for tekken 8 that mentions the Mishima family has a history of exorcism. I really wanted them to explore that plotline more as it could be helpful in at least articulating the evil spirit that possessed jinpachi.

Honestly, Heihachi injecting himself with some sort of superhuman substance is probably the only logical reason as to why and how he’s survived so many death experiences. I mean, Kaz only survived because of his devil gene, which essentially is his supernatural abilities. Same with Jin when he took a bullet to the brain. But nobody truly understood how Heihachi lived for so long. He seemed like just a normal human being. But I guess his blue energy powers as well as insane durability probably is the result of superhuman tests.
It is genetic from every mishima not just devil gene users
That would make it boring imo. The explanation is, just like the Hachijo are descendants of the Devil, the Mishima descend from Raijin, the japanese thunder god, that's why they have eletric power and superhuman strenght and resistance.
@@isaacmendes1926 Oh. A Thunder God. That makes sense. If Devil Gene users get their power from Azazel, then Mishimas getting their power from another God-like entity seems reasonable.

I honestly love the newer devil kazuya forms. They remind me of the forms him and Jin took in the Blood Vengeance final fight.

Azazel is the strongest he just isn't in his prime when Kazuya said his power surpassed Azazel it's the current Azazel.
Quick correction for the end: The Devil Gene is only gone from Jin and Kazuya. As far as we know, Reina is the last fighter in the franchise to harness the Devil Gene. As to whether or not she will take the top spot as the strongest fighter in the series, that is the answer we won't get until Tekken 9.
you never know they might do a story dlc, I think it would make more sense unless they plan on making a whole game of reina being the big bad, but yeah your right she still has the devil gene.

Jinpachi was definitely the most annoying. My least favorite is still the one from Tekken 6. I got no idea who's strongest though

Unknown could be higher considering in tag 2, base Jun is considered above True Ogre who is above a team of Heihachi and Jinpachi, although if that’s the basis, that makes her probably just behind Jin or even above him LOL
I'm not too surprised that there are humans that surpassed Azazel, like it explains how he got sealed away right?
I feel like angel should be higher, Jin in base beat ogre and azazel and she matched devil Jin and is a counterpart to devil kazuya
As far as akuma, I think he should be at the top of A because I feel he’s closer in strength to full power heihachi than the likes of angel Jin and full power devil Kazuya

Ok. TImeout. How is Angel C, when she beat Kazuya's early devil form and went toe to toe with Devil Jin, that decided not to kill Hehachi and Kazuya in 3? You telling me that Jun, Jin and freaking Paul could Ogre but not Angel?

Fighting Angel Jin is hands down the toughest. The AI is insane, and he has moves that allow him to replenish a good amount of health. Idk for you guys, but Angel Jin is the only T8 boss I have yet to beat without using a continue.

You mean that 1 white feather when Jin left after bodying Kaz and Heihachi back to back? I thought that was like a "glimmer of good" within Jin's devil form because he refused to kill them
@scarletpsychowolf3578 before that when he was still chained up angel stopped kazuya she she spoke to him and protected Jin. And remember Angel represents the small bit of good left in kazuya's Soul which is why that was the last time we saw her as a part of him . Hence the single white feather from devil Jin
I would say Jinpachi was the strongest & hardest boss in tekken
Azazel was harder in Tekken 6 than in Tekken 8 because Azazel was meant to be the main boss in Tekken 6 whereas in Tekken 8 he was meant to serve as a transformation for Kazuya
I like your video alot but you said that angel jin defeated true devil kazuya but that's not true,it was a draw, kazuya and jin clashed so hard that they both lost their powers..
Id argue that you could put Azazel even lower if you really think about what happens to him through the game series. Azazel:
- Is sealed away by Zafina and her group at the beginning of Tekken 6.
- Is defeated by Lars and Raven (Two humans).
- Returns in his golden form and is defeated by Jin with ONE PUNCH.
- Gets trapped and sealed in Zafina's arm.
- Returns and gets absorbed by his own apparent underling in Kazuya.
Zafina and her group didnt seal him at Tekken 6 start, where you got that from?
He didnt get beat by Raven, Lars doesnt mention to Jin he beat him with Raven together, he says he took care of him, unless you wanna tell me he beats Alisa and Jin too with Raven, when its not the case in cutscenes or shown
Also Lars is a Mishima, beat Heihachi and had a tie with Kazuya and Jin before the end of Tekken 6 campaign, Raven is ninja agent also that held his own to Heihachi in the game prologue as shown, dont act like these are regular humans
Jin uses amps from the devil gene to put a forcefield and get powerful enough to one shot Golden Azazel, why you make the scenes sound less impressive when it shows more then you tell
Zafina T7 bio says he barely escaped in spirit form after T6 events, how is Zafina sealing his spirit a counter against him....also T7 and T8 shows how even then she struggles to keep Azazel under control barely
Devil Kazuya was stronger then both Lars and amped Jin respectively, let alone how is that a counter to him....are we gonna take away credit losing to strong characters.....

I'm sorry but akuma or shin akuma shouldn't be S tier they fought kazuya in TK7 but he NEVER fought him in TK8 according to Lee 6 months have pass and kazuya base Devil just did a Kamehameha through NYC made it into a wasteland according to the announcer akuma ain't touching him no more
Kazuya and Jin also lost their Devil powers when they came crashing down back to earth they won't stand a chance against Akuma now

Questions... if angel stale mate devil jin and devil jin is over Super Gramps Mishima, ogre, and Azazel... why is she not over them as well? Next is that Heihachi fought devil Kazuya, the same version akuma did. He was able to tire him back to base. Akuma fought the same devil, a tired version because he just finished a full battle with Heihachi. If it's canon, He clearly didnt defeat Kazuya. If it's not canon, he was arguably defeated by a laser, kazuya survived. So either way, Heihachi has shown more impressive feats than Akuma so i think hes over Akuma based off what we know. I want to talk Azazel placement too but i dont have enough info thought out and time to make a proper argument, so i want to think he's over jinpachi, but for now I'll let that one go.
Akuma is over Heihachi because he is taking in to account his feats and lore in Tekken and the Street Fighter verse when it comes to this ranking. Which if we are considering both verses for Akuma then it makes sense, Akuma in his base form was able to sink an island with a single strike, split a mountain in half in his own verse, fought and even killed the strongest characters in his verse and is overall considered to be the pinnacle of strength in his verse. Heihachi has never shown that level of power, so it makes sense to put Akuma over him. The main problem with this logic is that is the Akuma in Tekken actually the same one from Street Fighter or is this an alternate Akuma that is a separate from the one in the Street Fighter verse? Cause if the latter is the case, then what we have is essentially a featless Akuma which does put into question his ranking and overall power level.

Devil Jin is still inside Jin kazama if you played story, Jin quoted and said "let's go back they're waiting for us" which means DVJ still inside him
