I never really gave lars much attention in tekken 7 until tekken 8 he became my new favorite character since I do like his fighting style better than the other characters
Lars my man since I started playing tekken I played lars first I really enjoyed the character and so I made him my main really love what they did with lars in tekken 8
I'm fairly new to modern Tekken but I am a bit confused as to why some characters speak in what you would imagine to be their native language while others simply speak Japanese for some odd reason. You mention Lars in this video but I also thought about the android lady who clearly has a non-Japanese name yet who speaks Japanese. Of course, the biggest blind spot for me is Xiaoyu as she has a Chinese name and fights using Chinese martial arts YET SHE IS CLEARLY SPEAKING IN NATIVE JAPANESE?!? The first two I could at least kind of understand as Lars is at least half Japanese so considering his age it's not unreasonable to assume he could've spent significant time in Japan and Alisa is an android so she honestly could speak whatever languages she's programmed to speak (but she is seemingly in the service of Japanese people so Japanese makes sense) but Xiaoyu I just don't understand as she is clearly Chinese and considering that her martial arts are also Chinese one would assume that she spent a significant amount of time in that country learning it (on top of the fact that she seems fairly young) so how exactly is she able to speak fluent Japanese?!? If it's explained somewhere in the lore then please enlighten me!
Heihachi at some point took Xiaoyu into the Mishima family as a ward and enrolled her at Mishima Polytechnic School in Japan which is how she first met Jin as he went to school there around the same time. It makes sense that Xiaoyu would learn Japanese from being adopted into a Japanese family and going to a Japanese school.
While there are some in game explanations for certain characters speaking a language different from their country of origin, it generally is only done for characters crucial to the leads of the franchise.
I think Lars is pretty cool and he brought a unique vibe to Tekken with his anime aesthetic. His acrobatic and flashy fighting style makes him really fun to play. His design does appeal to me as I grew up watching anime and playing JRPGs. I like that even though he’s a level-headed military commander, he’s actually a very chill guy rather than aloof. He’s a caring leader to his squadron, loving boyfriend to Alisa, and later becomes a cool uncle to Jin. Having the same Japanese VA as Grimmjow, Sukuna, and Archer really helps. Junichi Suwabe does an excellent job bringing the charismatic and heroic nature of Lars to life.
Lars is my favorite character in all of Tekken. He's super fun and he's an example that not all Mishimas are huge jerks. And it's great to see Tekken 8 give him some respect and people are starting to see how cool he is.
Heihachi is love and hate... on the one hand he's that bold old guy with a crazy haircut, then you find out he's having kids and abandoning them. It's just disgusting. He threw Kazuya into a Volcano... I'd be pissed off as well.
Watched this for fun, great video. Law has always been my main but l Lars is coming up as a close second in T8, I've always liked him because he's just genuinely trying to do whats right
Datamine leaks reveal Jun and Leo have some cutscenes, 100% I feel there's going to be a DLC story since Kazuya is for sure being nursed back to health by Jun and the aftermath we only get hints on what happened to the good the guys.
I grew fond of him ( and Alisa) thanks to tekken 6 champaign. However, I like him more as a supporting character than a protagonist. I think (and hope) Lars will still be a force of good also in the following tekken games.

Well he was pretty trash in Tekken 7
@@kyzertv8443he was a supporting character In 7.
7:30 Lars and Lee prove that kids abandoned or disowned by Heihachi turn out better than those raised by him.
The Lion of the Rebellion. Lars is the best Mishima. Best brother for Lee, best uncle for Jin, best boyfriend for Alisa. He's just amazing. 😎
He really is just the biggest chad, strong, caring, and intelligent.
Stubborn and full of will power, only for good more than anything.
Dude's not just a beast, but is pure good and badass

I love Lars and his part in the story was pretty good yeahhhh 👍
Lars is pretty tough. And I can see why my sister likes him
Lard giving Kazuya the head butt, really gives flashback to Kazuya....
Lars is around Jin’s age so he was born around Tekken 2
?
Namco is a awesome with there story
Its both amusing and scary that heihachi had so many kids. Makes you wonder if any new half siblings are gonna appear in the next game.

If it toke heihachi throwing kazuya off a cliff then wat did he do to figure out the 18-25 had it or not
I just got a very dark image of a cliff and most of those kids
@@mrassassinscreedfan1 man that's wat im saying does he jus have a personal cliff he be throwing them off?

Lars moment
Lars moment
Man who loves robots
That scene with Lars vs True Devil Kazuya where he gets up and headbutts him was so EPIC!! Kaz was like, "Pops?!? Is that YOU? F*Ck!!!"
LMAO YOO fr dat shit was badass
Even after killing him Kazuya still understandably has PTSD from Heihachi's abuse.
In tag tournament 2 Lars and heihachi shared same braincel

Lars is actually my fav character (- ^ ) He's got Leon Kennedy vibes.
Right! Lars is so amazing!
TRUE
He might be the closest to his dad in terms of just will power, no supernatural stuff. If Heihachi wasn’t an asshole 😂
Lars was the last Tekken character I truly fell in love with when I first saw him. He was such a cool character with really cool moves
Lars has the courage of a Lion

Holy crap there are 15 to 20+ Mishimas out there!?
Ikr? When I heard how many kids Heihachi had, I was screaming "WHAT?!"
So 1 extra kid to prove heihachi wasnt the problem wasnt enough, lol heihachi really was a mans man. 25 sounds more reasonable
It is a better sample size for an experiment.
Watched this for fun, great video. Law has always been my main but l

Jins kids:my father is a war criminal and no one has the balls to take him to court.
Yay! Our favorite cowlick hairstyleed karate man.

Love your videos 🎮 man ❤ love learning lore from tekkan - mk keep it up bro 💪💯
I believe that Lars will stay on the straight and narrow, keeping to his principles and being a symbol of justice.

Awesome
Where can I find the scene when Lars points the gun at Lee's head?
I want to see the full story
Awesome 😊
Scar face of lars alexandersson
Awesome
Just don’t understand how Reyna has the devil gene?
We will know more later
Most likely synthetic. Heihachi dabbled in experimentation on humans. Trying to create human devil hybrids
I expect it might be something like how Steve Fox was born from Nina Williams being experiment on
Lars not speaking Swedish is such a let down for me as a swede, but hearing swedish in Tekken would be so surealistic 😂
Well he’s half Japanese. Get over it
They should give him a devil from it would be awesome 😎
Can we get the history of Tiger from tekken 3?
Another great video man. Please keep these going
Asuka Kazama next please
Do asuka next
LARS IS A MF G
Do leo next
