As a nature person myself I appreciate your video, exploring nature and promoting its care is done beautifully here. Sweden is breathtaking here.
So completely agree, Sweden is breathtaking 😍 and the fall colors make it extra special. Thank you so much for your kind comment 🙏
This is exceptional guys, those views are put of an artbook ❤ love to see this side of Sweden, and the packlist is very very useful, wish someone told me on my first hike 😂
Thank you!! Haha did you make a packing mistake?
2nd time I watch - great pack list! Have just purchased the cumulus 850 sleeping bag for my trips this winter. Thanks for sharing and great recommendations! 👍👍👍
Thank you so much for your kind words ❤️ We absolutely love our cumulus gear so far. Enjoy your winter trips ☃️

Thank you for watching ❤️
🇸🇪 Hello Deen and Alette , first , I wanna thank you for giving all these precisions, so precious for hikers. Excuse me if you have said it on the video already, but I wonder how many kilos each of your backpacks weighed when they were full.
Thank you so much! We think we didn’t mention it in the video but including 5/6 days of food and camera gear, 12kg and 15kg
@@Hikaholics Thank you 😊
A super detailed video, loved it! 🤗
Thank you so much!

Thank you!
Hey! Leuke video! Ik ga deze zomer!! Super veel gehad aan deze video
Thanks! Vet! Wanneer ga je hem lopen? Misschien komen we je tegen;)
Great
Thank you!
Interesting you both went for low shoes. I've done part of the Kungsleden, would definitely walk it only on mid to high mountain shoes, with goretex. You have to walk along of wet paths and occasionally cross a stream.
Great video, slowly watching the whole Kungsleden trip, can't wait to do it myself!
Yes we always go for low shoes. When it is wet we wear waterproof socks. The socks dry really fast and the light shoes dry really fast. For us it is the perfect combination. But always hike in shoes you prefer and are comfortable in :)
Thank you for the nice comment! Are you planning to hike the Kungsleden?
Great video! Thanks for all the helpful tips. I'm planning a hike on the Kungsleden and was wondering what the recommended comfort rating for a sleeping bag should be? Could you or anyone here advise on the ideal temperature rating for a sleeping bag to ensure comfort during the nights? Thanks in advance!
Thanks! It really depends on when you are going to hike the Kungsleden. September is a lot colder than july/august. We had a -13 and -8 degrees celsius sleeping bag and that was on the limit for us. But important note: Your sleeping pad is also really important for sleeping in colder temperatures. Our sleeping pad was a bit to cold during these -6 degrees celsius nights. Hope this helps a bit?

So I found you guys via the social media channels, and I was wondering: How did you guys train for this hike?
Hi Maarten! Welcome to the channel :) We hiked the Tour du Mont Blanc before this trail so that was basically our training. Before the TMB we lived in the mountains of Chamonix France so we had the option to train there. When we are not in the mountains we just pack our backpacks with 15kg and hike a a lot as training. Where are you from and do you have some spots where you can train there?
@@Hikaholics Hey guys! I haven't got any real mountains to train on, the highest elevation in the Netherlands is in the province of Limburg, near the borders of Belgium and Germany. But that's a three hour drive from my home in the Polder, the largest elevation I have are a couple bridges connecting 'Flevoland' with the rest of The Netherlands...
Haha we know! We are from the Netherlands as well. Best to do long day hikes with a full loaded backpack (base-weight + food + water), that way you can get used to it. We didn’t find the Kungsleden challenging with stamina but more with back strength from carrying the backpack. We can recommend Kootwijkerzand for training (lots of sand dunes) and the dunes at Bergen and Schoorl. Hope this helps?
@@Hikaholics Definetly helps! I will start tomorrow, probably do a 5 to 10km hike with just water and food. And then go for more baggage. Thanks guys!
That’s great! Enjoy!

@@Hikaholics I’m headed over to hike the Northern section of the Kungsleden next week. Can’t wait.
That's so cool!! Are you doing the same section? Or also going to Abisko? We hope we can go back soon to cover the next section of this magnificent trail! @@buckeyeexplorer6306
@@Hikaholics We're doing Abisko to Nikkaluokta, summiting Kebnekaise along the way.
@@buckeyeexplorer6306 so cool!! Enjoy the beautiful trail. And be careful, hope the situation with the virus/infection at the kungsleden is over 😱
