The Mullerthal Trail with its 112 km passes along the natural beauties of the Mullerthal Region. We are hiking route 1, 2 & 3 of this beautiful trail in Luxembourg and camping along the way. This is what they call backpacking in Little Switzerland. Along the three routes, hikers can expect a combination of local wonders: surreal-looking rock formations with the Wolfsschlucht, moss-covered forests, enchanted stream valleys like the Schiessentümpel and vast pasture landscapes. But that's not all! The Mullerthal Trail beckons with hidden viewpoints and cultural treasures just waiting to be discovered.

Was it hard to do or was it okay?
This is exactly the itinerary I wanted to do for my day trip to Chamonix. Just wanna know if u guys took any bus to get from one station to another? I checked that they are 10mins apart except for from Monteverse station to Planpraz (Le Berevent) which took more than 1km. I booked a bus to get back to Geneva by 5.15pm, I assumed it was all manageable by then?
I am doing the trek sol in July. I am planning now. Thank you too for so much more to remember. Is the trail marked good. What GPS MAP DID YOU use?
That’s fantastic! So happy to hear that our videos help ❤️ the trail is marked really great! Can’t miss it. Here are some photos of the trail marks they use: instagram.com/s/aGlnaGxpZ2h0OjE3OTQ3ODQ3MjAxMDIwODE0?story_media_id=2877806832690141507&igsh=MWE0aTF1bDhtMDcxcQ== instagram.com/s/aGlnaGxpZ2h0OjE3OTQ3ODQ3MjAxMDIwODE0?story_media_id=2877808100653644296&igsh=MWE0aTF1bDhtMDcxcQ== And for the GPS: we used the app called AllTrails. Here are multiple GPS tracks for the entire route and also for every stage at his own. Hope this helps! And most of all, enjoy the trail!
Is Merc De Glace connected with Brevent?
Great question! It isn’t, it’s at opposite sides of chamonix
09:32 where does this cable car bring u?
It’s the cable car at mer de glace! From chamonix city center you take a train to the glacier and there you can take this tiny cable car down to the ice caves at mer de glace
You're in the south you'll get slapped for saying "pain au chocolat" It's chocolatine!!! 😂
In the bakery the card said ‘pain au chocolat’. So go slap the bakery then 😊
@Hikaholics I'm Scottish so no slaps here. But I'm always getting dirty looks from my friends in the south of France when I use the northern name.

Great video!! So glad you got to see Reindeer, what a beautiful place!
Thank you so much!! It really is magical place!
Love it
Thank you!
Nice people
Thank you so much!
⛰Thanks Guys, We are locked and loaded to do TMB next July. Can't wait your video has been of great help
Wow! Thanks for the beautiful video. This just inspired me to go do this trail with a friend in two weeks. What routes would you recommend if we only have three days of hiking but want to cover a good distance? I appreciate your time!
Hi!! Thank you so much, keep an eye out on our channel because we will be uploading seperate more detailed videos about all routes. If you only have a few days we would definitely recommend route 2. That was the most spectacular one. And than route 3. Route 1 was the route we liked the least to be honest. So depending on the lengths you can hike definitely route 2 and maybe partially route 3. There is a really good (and free!) public transport system in Luxembourg. So you will get around pretty easily. If you have more specific questions about the trail it is best to send us an email (hello@hikaholics.com) since UA-cam comments sometimes get a bit lost 🙈 Hope this helps! And enjoy the trail!
Beautiful 🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷
Thank you!!

Nice video again! 😍 And in spite of the weather beautiful scenery pics.💚 Thanks Hikaholics!
Thank you so much for your kind words ❤️😘
Beautiful! Which month did you do the trek?
Thank you! We hiked the TMB in the end of June / beginning of July
Loved watching your videos. Setting the scene for our TMB next year.
Thank you!! We hope you will enjoy the TMB as much as we did ❤️
I hiked part of the trail this summer. It's a very beautiful area. I look forward to the next videos. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for the compliment! We absolutely loved this trail, such nice landscapes 😍
Very nice!
Thanks!
Oh wow we were just there two days ago on the German side - the devils gorge area and want to go back! Such cool videos thanks nd love your accents
That sounds so cool!! Haven’t been to that side, hope to visit it again soon. Haha and thanks, the Dutch accent is definitely noticeable . 😂
How do you manage the harsh light your video do you have a magic ND filter?
The harsh lights aren’t funny 😂 We do have a ND filter from Peter McKinnon : amzn.to/3aaYoBh It’s our lifesaver on these trips 👌🏼
@@Hikaholics thanks for the tip. Ive been researching and the Polarpro company seems really good for hiking stuff. It’s not like everything can be golden hour on a hike lol. I had a spontaneous trip to portugal to hike and bought a free well for my iPhone videos and everything - is- overexposed. It’s so sad. I don’t know what to do but figuring out filters is high on my list. Have you tried the Polarpro that is a 3-1 with vnd- mist- polarizing ?
Sorry for the late response, somehow some UA-cam comments get a bit lost 🙈 Oh no!! Is the footage really damaged? Or can you still use it? No we haven’t tried that 3in1, the only filter we have is the one linked above… we tried a mist filter as well, but didn’t like the color tone it gave to our videos. So we decided to stick with this ND filter that has multiple options
Your videos are so beautiful!!!
Thank you so much!

Thanks for sharing your lovely video. I am excited to come and visit this place.
Thank you for your lovely comment! I gave an elaborate answer on what to do on your other comment. Hope you will have a lovely trip.
If you only have time to do 2 which one will you suggest? And how long to do each area since I will just be there on a day trip. Thanks
Hi Becky! So lovely that you are going to visit chamonix. It is such a beautiful place! If you only have time for two things I would suggest doing 1) mer de glace, since that is a whole experience with the little red train through the mountains and 2) aiguille du midi with the high cable car and the views are insane! Than you have enough time to stroll around the city center. How long you will be at each ‘thing’ depends on what you want. Some people go there, have a photo moment and go back instantly and other (like we do) stroll around for over an hour and have a look at everything. Both ‘attractions’ are super central and everything in chamonix is super close by. So you can definitely do both in one day! Hope you will have a wonderful trip!
Thank you so much for your tips. I will certainly keep this in mind. Have a lovely day. 😃
i live in kinsarvik lol
Such a beautiful place to live! 😍
@@Hikaholics Ohhh it is beautiful. I am really grateful to be born here lol

Do you think it can be compressed enough to work as a carry on ?
Great question! Mine is never accepted as a carryon. But that is also because I have trekking poles in that bag and those are only allowed in check in baggage… if there is nothing in the bag, it’s actually pretty small.
@@Hikaholics Thank you for getting back :) ! So it's not accepted because of the trekking poles? We are really thinking of buying two, and thought if it might be possible to make it small enough for go through, sorry for all the questions, but can you take out the frame and / or compress it enough to be that small (55cm height ish) ?
@Seri-s8r the people at the security told me that it wasn’t accepter because of the trekking poles and my camera tripod (they see those as weapons apparently 😂). You can’t take out the frame! I have the regular and the backpanel is 60 cms long, however, it is flexible. No worries about the questions! Always happy to help. Sorry for the delayed answer, somehow these replies get lost 🥲

I planing to get there to end of April for my girlfrend birthday! What you think, it's a good time to visit or it's so cold and somme of atraction are shut down? Thanks ! 🙏
Hi!! Sorry for the delayed answer, we were in Norway for a whole month and took some time off 🙈 We absolutely love chamonix in early spring! The temperatures are getting quite nice. There are lots of things to do. The only thing you have to be careful about is if the cable cars are open or not. Some close during April for maintenance. Best is to check out the www.seechamonix.com website and the chamonix website itself. If I say it correctly: Aiguille du midi is open year round (except some weeks in November) Brevent and flegere will close at the end of April. But again, best is to check the website where they give you the exact dates of when the cable cars are running or not. Hope you will enjoy your time in chamonix as much as we did!

Hi hikaholics, how much it cost for cablecar? And should we have to buy a ticket everytime we go up in the mountains ?
Hi!! I can’t remember the prices exactly. I think we paid around 70-80€ per person for a 24h cable car pass. We could use it for all the cable cars in the chamonix area You can check the different passes on the website: en.chamonix.com At the beginning of each cable car there is a service desk, where you can ask which pass is the best for you. Since there are so many options haha!
Hi - You mention that you were on the TMB in October. Is there a video? We're visiting mid October and it would be nice to see what sort of weather we might expect.
Hi! We hope you will have a wonderful time in chamonix. During October the fall colours are absolutely amazing. There might be some snow already. Here is the link to the video of the TMB section we did in fall: ua-cam.com/video/xQB-Ewme_tw/v-deo.htmlsi=UORE7eTMXKw7Dng6 And here is a playlist with different dayhikes you can do around chamonix: ua-cam.com/play/PLMWlxKICM2abay2WCkNjg7D4deOSKR2XG.html&si=5vd429IX5VH-xgQA There are many many more hikes, but these were the ones we filmed. We hope you will have a lovely time!
