      Lol I understand it's a joke, but in case anyone doesn't know, you should have the pan heated to a certain temperature before you put steaks in.
      A friend I knew would lay it on a cold pan then have it cook at the same time it's building up heat.

    Lets not be too harsh. Yes, this is about White getting sponsored by Knorr. But he is just trying to give advice about a simple meal that has flavor without spending hours laboring over stocks and herbs you may only use once and throw the rest away.
    If anyone is questioning his skills as a chef....well you might want to Wiki Marco Pierre White or go into the afterlife and talk to Anthony Bourdain. I actually admire MPW trying to give time stressed, regular folks without a gourmet kitchen some ideas about making a great meal without having to give up your job.
    Also, if you listen, the Knorr reference takes up about 10 seconds. The rest is about simple technique. That is really more important right.

    I like to steep my Knorr stock cubes in a homemade stock before I season my steak. The stock really gives the cube a depth of flavor. But again, it's your choice. That's the beauty of cooking.

    People shouldn't be concerned with the stock cubes or the recipes in the videos, they should be watching the way he cooks, or his tips. I watch his videos and look at his techniques. The stock cubes can be replaced for normal chicken stock, beef stock, and salt etc. Marco really does give out tips that I have personally used in my cooking at home. The tips will improve your cooking to the next level if used properly.

    I always rest my steaks when I cook at home. My son always tries to eat the steak right away, but i make him wait about 5mins, for the steak to rest. My son is like me, he likes his steak Rare.

    No real recipe. I didn’t even put on a steak ! A slice of white bread , seasoned with knorr bread stock , 5 seconds on a pan. Done. Simple, Lovely and beautiful.

      Love Marco and gordon.but Gordons videos on affordable meals is lamb steaks (expensive)and using saffron (expensive)and many ingredients.
      Ppl who don't have time to cook can appreciate macros cooking..and can't eat steak without a sauce which is expensive too..the knorr cube is a good alternative to a1

    When I take a bath.... I throw in a few knorr cubes, it works better than soap.
    Today we are going to make strawberry Ice Cream.... we are going to start by adding a few knorr stock pots.
    When I get sick, I boil some water and throw in a few dozen knorr cubes and problem solved.
    I got into a bar fight once and got stabbed.... I plugged the hole with a few knorr cubes and didn't even need to go the hospital.
    World famous Chef would never use a fucking knorr cube in a Michelin Star rated Restaurant, I promise you that.

      Makes very good money from knorr too..and no matter how much money ppl like him and gordon.have in the bank they will keep cooking and making money til they die.
      Glad I found these videos.marco gives exact measurements..easy to follow and no drama.
      Gordon goes to places and eats bugs but screams and spits out food by other wannabe chefs..love Gordon too but one of his recipes is a week's grocery money
