Carmine’s theme IS better that Kieran’s, 100%. Ngl even his remixes didn’t do it for me. They were good but her battle theme is just too catchy lmao You really did her justice!! Carmine’s a cool character. I know SV is a mixed bag for a lot of people thanks to the graphics and bugs, but they did a good job with the music, characters, and story this timearound. Maaan if this game had another year or two in the oven it would’ve been Top 3 for way more people with how they much effort they put into the writing, Gen 9 is up there with 5 and 7 for me. Maybe even higher since as much as I like N, Penny/Nemona/Arven clear Cheren/Bianca/Hugh pretty easily for me (Hugh’s theme a banger tho)

@@TjrmalveillantImo Scarlet/Violet’s story and characters and overall writing had a lot of heart and thought put into them. I started with Gen 1 as my first games and SV are arguably my favorites in the series when it comes to that. I love Gen 5 and 7’s stories too, and as much as I like N, Nemona/Arven/Penny resonated with me and had a lot more depth to their personalities and interactions than Cheren/Bianca/Hugh did and felt more like an actual friend group. That said, the graphics, bugs, and performance issues of SV do suck. I think how bad they are is exaggerated online though; I looked into it, and most people had experiences that were mostly fine out of the occasional minor glitch here and there. The copies that had really bad lag or crazy graphical errors are in the minority. The Indigo Disk also offers a lot of cool strategies and difficult battles gameplay-wise. Obviously that doesn’t mean the games should keep coming out like this, and that any of these issues are justified. I’m just saying if SV had another year or two of development time, they’d for sure be one of the best Pokémon games. And I think it’s respectable that the games came out as good as they did despite the devs being forced to finish this for a holiday release. People love to spam “soulless” and “bad” a lot of the time nowadays with zero real criticism, so I just wanted to give a more fleshed-out take of these games.
