Excellent performance... I really love each and every sound of this song. Each time I listen to it I find new meanings. It would really be nice for people who don't know this song in it's original form to listen to it first and understand the music including the verse and then to enjoy the jazz interpretation. What I really like is the way Elina Duni Quartet transpose it into JAZZ. It's absolutely incredible. Thanks...
Amazing indeed! It's so wonderful what non -americans are doing with jazz. So much more adventerous then what's being regurgitated here in the states. The blending of ethnic vibes and classical asethetics is so refreshing compared to the "standard jazz" repertoire so dominate with american jazz...and the smooth jazz thing! I just know this post will draw fire!
Sublime... I listened to it a hundred times... and still listen to it. Very good interpretation for all band components. All of you... Looking forward to see you at Garina Festival.
@markkoch4 - Look at the drummer... it seems like he knows very well what he does. I don't understand. This is exactly what I like at this song. He is so unpredictable, unrepeatable, unreproducible...At minute 5:30 starts some kind of agony which Norbert Pfammatter, the drummer knows exactly how to handle it. I love also the piano.
