I really don't understand why here in the U.S, more specifically Ohio it's impossible to find crosscut linesman pliers. I did have the Marvel MVA-200n, but I lost them. I was mad because Amazon no longer has them

The large screw on the front of the pliers must have a purpose, otherwise, why would the manufacturer spend the extra cost for a non-functional part?!! It makes no sense!!!

It tightens the plier handles. If it's loosened then the pliers require less resistance to close and vice versa.
