I bought this one a year or two ago, took a bit out and set it aside. Didn't pay attention, can always find another to fit the driver. Of course those bits are shorter then normal and I can't find that bit anywhere. And klein was no help with getting a replacement.

I got a pair of these from amazon today! I am very impressed with them! I have the yellow handle with crimpers too but I really like the HD cutting capability of these!

Just ordered A Milwaukee. Any certain angle to use this tool? Wouldn't want to scuff the inside at the flaring area.

Does the back of the screwdriver rotate when it is closed and in use, or is it locked in place?

If you put them on the ground with 9 gauge steel wire and stomp the handle it will cut that too

I don't like double-sided bits I never have but I do like the slimness of the Klein bits. How it steps down? I wish the Milwaukee did that

I'm not a Klein or a Milwaukee fan, but that Milwaukee screwdriver is just too thick for me.

When I bought mine, I got at Lowes, in store. It appears that Lowes has discontinued this item. It doesn't appear in any store in my area and if ordering, as of today, there are only 135 left in their inventory to ship. I really like it and to me, it was well worth it. Home Depot also appears to only have them for online ordering now as well. Edit: Home Depot only has 78 available for ordering.

If the wire is hard to hold onto while splicing what you can do is bend the wire 90°. It will give you more to hold onto + the advantage of leverage

Great idea but needs a couple tweaks to make it solid. Klein makes tools for electricians. Ditch the 11/32 and put a 9/16 on there. Hardly ever need a 1/2 either, but I use 9/16 for 3/8 hardware constantly. Further improve by letting the handle hold bits- even 4-6 bits would be stellar. I usually only use a couple different ones on a regular basis. I'd have my Robinson/Philips combo and a couple others and I'd be set for 99% of use. Soooo close Klein. I'd probably still buy it without the bit holder, but that it doesn't have 9/16 makes it fairly useless as I pretty much use 3/8 and 9/16 regularly with some 7/16 and 5/16, 1/4 on occasion.

had a pair of jrs for 2 months, work way better than my old mastercraft pair I started with. no complaints other than the handles are a bit small for my hands

I have the long nosed ones. They are very handy inside a hvac panel. Had to file the nose sides down as they are bit thick and the grips needed sharpening up. Easy enough with a small file

Another advantage of these cutters, if you are cutting something with limited space these fit in some areas the spring loaded cutters can't.

I'd like to watch a video where you compare the small and XL stepcut and other cutters. Leave out long winded descriptions of what's printed on each handle. Give us a performance cutting demonstration comparison. Focus on the gauge of wire, demonstrating it being cut with each tool. Ease/ difficulty a closeup look at the finished cut so we can see if it was smashed, etc. Then move on to another gauge. Focus on the beefier wires. Romex 14/3 + ground, 12/3 + ground, Romex 10/3 + ground wire for clothes dryers. Then larger service wires 1/0, 2/0, 3/0, 4/0 only for those you know which have a chance cutting them. The 6 1/4 stepcut says it can cut 1/0. No videos show that! Could it cut 2/0? Other brands abilities? Can the XL cut 4/0? Show us! For all of us researching wire cutters, the above information is not on UA-cam. For example this XL video demonstrationed 12/2 and single 10, but you didn't even show how the little guy could cut them to compare! Nor did you show how the other large KNIPEX cutter performed, and they were right in your hand with wire on the table! Anyways, I appreciate your many videos I've watched. I personally need more visual "real performance comparisons" than just liking the color and the words on a handle. Give us the beef! Lol! Challenge each of your cutters to the max! We really want to see their capabilities and where they fail. At the end, possibly create a visual table where each excelled. Thank you! That video would get traction! Consider a similar comparison video for cutting steel wires and nail sizes. What can cut a 16 nail or 20 nail? Etc.

The people i work around call these fisher price pliers (kinda a old refrence). I got both of them and returned the combination pliers since i didnt see much a use for them with my volt claw. The needlenose work great kinda bulky but when your poking around in a high voltage pannel there the ticket.

I just picked up a pair of the Klein J2000 9NE linesman pliers in broken in but perfect barely used condition for $2 at a pawn shop. Freaking SCORE !!

Will not strip romex wire conductors.

I used these recently for a project where I converted several outdoor proprietary LED lamps to instead use socket bulbs. I ended up going back to my Irwin automatic stripper, Channellock Linemen and Doyle ratchet crimper. Sure I could get the job done with this tool, but it was not the quality craftmanship I wanted.

I.ve got the Klein tools variant and love it. Have tried the Milwaukee set too but tnx but no tnx. Klein (to me) as vastly superior and far easier to hold and use and another advantage is that you have bits with double end/use and that saves up space greatly reducing the number of bits needed to carry with you and yes Klein do sale spare bits too. I recon Milwauke should stick to making just power tools and stack boxes. That's where they do best Hah ? :))))

I have the other one, with the Robertson and torx bits. Barely use it and the rubber handle came loose. Piece of crap tbh. No offense to Klein, the newer version is so much better

everyone hates on milwaukee hand tools, but they're fine for the most part. They make a great xeno bladed screwdriver that's always in my bag.

kllein double sided flat an Philips is idea for electrical. Milwaukee single side is limited to garage use only, in my opinion. You'd be surprised how difficult it is to find a screw driver like Klein's double sided. I did a lot of looking.

I wish Klein had made a combination #1 and #2 flip bit for that insulated screwdriver.

I bought into the Japanese plier hype and ordered Marvels, engineer, Fujiya kurokins and too be honest they kinda eh. Now I have them all just sitting in backpack while I use Knipex

There's a lot of dead space in that handle. They could have put but storage or even more sockets in there. I bet that will happen next year then we'll have to buy it again.
