I don’t always screw up… but when I do it’s usually because I have no plan except the one in my head and I do so in dramatic fashion. 😂 thanks for watching.
It kind of varies. I don’t do too much. On the miters there was a fair bit of work but the pins and tails not so much. Also it didn’t make the video but I think I’ve done it in other videos… I’ll use a Japanese side plane float to file the pins a bit to fit. A friend once told me dovetails are sawn not paired so I try to focus on quality sawing to ensure the filing and paring is to a minimum.

Very nice! I was curious how much paring with a chisel do you end up doing on the pins and tails? I find i spend a lot of time paring the final fit.

Aswesome job as usual my friend!!! Where did you get that tiny double square you were checking the squareness of the dovetails.
So the square itself is a starret but the blade is from Sterling tool works. They make a double square but also just the blade.
