This is for Angel. I too was brought up in an abusive household. My mom split before I was 2 and my dad was a drunk. I lived with an abusive uncle. I haven't even spoken with them in 25 years. That said, I have what I call my family of choice. My friends are my brothers and sisters (and they are all mad that I am going to move to the Phillipines in a couple years). It is not only okay to have friends as your family, it is my, and it seems like your, far better option. Remember, you aren't what they tried to make you and you are what you make yourself. Live and love with abandon and be happy. You can't change the past but you sure can shape the present and future!

Angel is a beautiful and loving woman, and I really feel her and understand what she was talking about regarding loyalty to family. I have seen a mother and father both desert their 16, 12, and 8 year old kids, walked off, and never came home. Be loyal to YOUR OWN family and kids. Develop a loving and caring family. I could not imagine what those kids felt. I am in the US, but I have been providing them with some food so they all don't starve since they have no family in that area of Mindanao.

I really enjoy the presentation style for this series of videos. Having everyday, normal, down-to-earth women give their honest opinions on topics that matter to us foreign men is much appreciated. Great job Pea! I have one comment to offer for Filipinas in general: I have yet to meet a man who is willing to put a woman first in his life if she is not willing to do the same. If your family comes first before your foreign boyfriend or husband, then you can never expect him to fully invest in a relationship with you. Just as you want to be first in his life, he wants to be first in yours. Think about this.

Being married to a Filipina for many years has taught me allot , both of us coming from different cultures and how we mesh them together to make a family is what makes us stronger together . I'm pretty sure that half my asawa's Barangy are related to each other . :)
@@TheFilipinaPea At the engagement party with my ex Pinay wife, her mom said they'd invite a few family. Then they rented the village gym for the event. Dad decided we'd need three pigs. Turned out there were around 350 guests. Yep. everyone in "the village" was family. I saw a lot of kids there, so asked my fiancee, "Won't their teachers wonder where all the students are?" She replied, "Look at that table over on the side, That's all of the teachers." Of course "Joe's" the one who paid for everything. (Every time I walked by the elementary school, the boys would gather at the fence to shout, "Hey Joe.")

I have a suggestion for people in new marriages: You should put each other first but also try to be kind to your spouse's family. My wife is Asian and I'm Caucasian and this is what we've always done.
Another great insightfull vlog.. To me, having a close friend of the opposite sex is no problem. The friendship, trust and loyalty stretches back a long time..they can offer advice beyond that blinded by love. If the Boy or girlfriend feels jelous of them..why? The lover should keep the friend on side in case things get tough and can use them for advice to help the relationship. The most important thing of any relationshil is TRUST.
An old man told me you can have whisky for a friend, you can have a dog for a friend. If you start having women for friends, you will wind up getting drunk and kissing your dog.
my best friend is my computer. No matter what I need it can find a way to get it to me. Having a gf is great when you need drama and conflicts which is needed to keep life more exciting.
I really enjoyed this session with the ladies! I don't think you could have gotten a better group of ladies together that would be so forthcoming, candid and I felt the openness. In a committed relationship, we agree to give certain parts of ourselves to our partner. when we’re flirting, we’re giving sexual interest and attention that only our partner should get. We’re giving it to somebody else. If this is to hard to understand. Better stay single and mingle until we realize we’re getting older and end up alone and in depression.

Yeah she is quite stunning but ones like her a few and far between in Philippines, plenty of hard living to be had in the Philippines many women approaching 40 but look like 60. Security for the woman if your lucky if you are unlucky expected to lift the entire extended family out of their situations. There are an abundance of women there young and appealing, do it on your terms or not at all, lay down the law early.

As a HVM who only dated international women before COVID lockdowns, it was a tough year for me since I live in California (the most strict quarantine in the states), and the travel restrictions across the world. So true this, and same in the UK. I was on a date and held open the door for the lady I was with as we entered a bar, she wasn't happy at all, puffed her cheeks out and told me 'just get in'. That was the first red flag, then once inside she just spoke about how successful her business was and how she didn't need a man Hahahahaha, yeah, didn't see her again, bye bye.
One of the traits of a successful marriages is friendship. A partner that is also your best friend is a dynamic feeling that most couples never get to enjoy. Far too often, the guy wants to hang out with his guy friends and same for the girl.
What western men want: Companionship, honesty, physical connection, having fun and surprices. To feel loved and cherished. The ability to help improve the life of filippinas - to enjoy the beautiful landscape with a companion to show them the gems or find them together. On a 30 days visa there is very little time or room for tampo but to enjoy the company and activities we can in that short period. Remember foreigners invest a great deal of money spend on travel arrangements and accommodation. We often saves up for a year for that to happen. And still have to cover our monthly expenses where we come from. So there you have it - woman of the Philippines
I'm a male and I had a very good female best friend. Yes, in the beginning I thought she was hot, but I was not her type & once I got to know her well (more than just looks) she was not my type but we stayed very close friends. Trust me it helped both of us out several times during dating relationships & business relationships. We could both "spy on" each others S.O. easily being same gender. Unfortunately, she got married & moved out of state. I was invited to a fancy extravagant wedding though.

I am really enjoying the panel talks. Each lady brings a different vibe and seem to be well thought out. I like Angel's new toned down attire. She is what I term an ~old soul~, (a compliment). Micah has developed into a vibrant chatterbox and is still my fav. Keep the content fresh.
I really enjoy the presentation style for this series of videos. Having everyday, normal, down-to-earth women give their honest opinions on topics that matter to us foreign men is much appreciated. Great job Pea! I have one comment to offer for Filipinas in general: I have yet to meet a man who is willing to put a woman first in his life if she is not willing to do the same. If your family comes first before your foreign boyfriend or husband, then you can never expect him to fully invest in a relationship with you. Just as you want to be first in his life, he wants to be first in yours. Think about this.

@@TheFilipinaPea At the engagement party with my ex Pinay wife, her mom said they'd invite a few family. Then they rented the village gym for the event. Dad decided we'd need three pigs. Turned out there were around 350 guests. Yep. everyone in "the village" was family.
I saw a lot of kids there, so asked my fiancee, "Won't their teachers wonder where all the students are?" She replied, "Look at that table over on the side, That's all of the teachers."
Of course "Joe's" the one who paid for everything. (Every time I walked by the elementary school, the boys would gather at the fence to shout, "Hey Joe.")

I have a suggestion for people in new marriages: You should put each other first but also try to be kind to your spouse's family. My wife is Asian and I'm Caucasian and this is what we've always done.

To me, having a close friend of the opposite sex is no problem. The friendship, trust and loyalty stretches back a long time..they can offer advice beyond that blinded by love. If the Boy or girlfriend feels jelous of them..why? The lover should keep the friend on side in case things get tough and can use them for advice to help the relationship. The most important thing of any relationshil is TRUST.

I really enjoyed this session with the ladies! I don't think you could have gotten a better group of ladies together that would be so forthcoming, candid and I felt the openness. Yeah she is quite stunning but ones like her a few and far between in Philippines, plenty of hard living to be had in the Philippines many women approaching 40 but look like 60. Security for the woman if your lucky if you are unlucky expected to lift the entire extended family out of their situations. There are an abundance of women there young and appealing, do it on your terms or not at all, lay down the law early.

Companionship, honesty, physical connection, having fun and surprices. To feel loved and cherished.
The ability to help improve the life of filippinas - to enjoy the beautiful landscape with a companion to show them the gems or find them together.
On a 30 days visa there is very little time or room for tampo but to enjoy the company and activities we can in that short period.
Remember foreigners invest a great deal of money spend on travel arrangements and accommodation. We often saves up for a year for that to happen. And still have to cover our monthly expenses where we come from.
So there you have it - woman of the Philippines
I'm a male and I had a very good female best friend. Yes, in the beginning I thought she was hot, but I was not her type & once I got to know her well (more than just looks) she was not my type but we stayed very close friends. Trust me it helped both of us out several times during dating relationships & business relationships. We could both "spy on" each others S.O. easily being same gender. Unfortunately, she got married & moved out of state. I was invited to a fancy extravagant wedding though.
