- Well after the rudd fest on Rollesby yesterday, I still had plenty of bait left. I decided to fish the next morning at the river Thurne at Martham. After not coarse fishing here in 20 years, it went rather well, with a nice few bream, and still home for lunch!
A lovely video. I used to love just sitting on the riverbank, listening to the birds and getting peed off at the cruisers!
Hahhaha there is still plenty of birds and cruisers. Luckily the water is high, so most can’t get under potter bridge
I did enjoy that mate, I love fishing in the reeds like that but most of the blasted boat 'skippers' aren't watching where they're going, It's worse up near Norwich when you get the rowers going backwards and a cox in another boat with an outboard shouting at them. One wasn't watching and ploughed into me on the bank, very apologetic but didn't pay for the broken landing net handle. Martham is a good place in Winter, not so many boats, as well as bream I've had decent roach to an ounce short of 2 pound up there, so much wildlife on the broads, I can't do it now I can't drive so far, take care, Norfolk Ray.
Yes, most of the boats stayed in the middle of the river, which is ideal, but one hit my gear. You can’t see them coming with the high reeds.
really nice fish Beany loved watching this video👍👍👍
Cheers. I’m glad you enjoyed it
@@beanysfishing2555 i did matey
Great stuff, my old stamping ground. 👍
Hahhaha mine too many years ago
Nice session James, swim looks a bit overgrown, but nice spot.
Yes, the swim is tight, but its nice to be away from stocked lakes for a change
Thanks for sharing a lovely place to fish. Shame about the boats.
Most boats arent too bad, there will always be one person with little experience
Well done mate, some good slabs there 👍
Cheers. So you didn’t fish the madac match tonight?
@@beanysfishing2555 no mate, I’m totally a pleasure angler now, Just got back from our yearly trip to the River Severn Barbel fishing with a few of the boys from the club. My best fish was an 8 pounder, my God they fight 😁
@@Bradford822 never caught a barbel, but I heard they do fight well. I went with madac to the Trent years ago hoping to get one, and no one caught hardly bugger all. You must have been chuffed with that. I would be.
@@beanysfishing2555 I remember those trips to the Trent, nobody caught anything but a good day out. I’ve been going to the Severn for a week for about 10 years now. There’s nothing that fights like a river Barbel and I include Carp in that. Send me a friend request on Facebook, there’s a video of me playing the 8 pounder on it.
Beautiful scenery thanks Beany
It is lovely there
hi, enjoyed the vid, did you park at martham boats car park ?
No, I was told they don’t allow parking or fishing there now
@@beanysfishing2555 ok cheers
