    Hi Rob, thanks for the video, just wanted to say that the price of this product is actually quite high, it's not cheap at all. At £ 7.19 for 453 grams, this equates to £ 15.87 per kg which is very high for an Eco Resin. Our AquaCast ( by the way thanks for your fantastic review video ) is priced anywhere between £ 5.30 and £ 6.30 per kg ( depending on the pack size you order, and if you redeem a group coupon code or not ). Also we ship free in the U.K next day ( a lot quicker and more convenient than coming all the way from China ! ). Thanks again for your hard work and efforts to produce such informative video content.

      Indeed, the actual pricing overall is quite revealing - which is why I still purchased and will continue to purchase my eco-resin from you guys and have been encouraging as such since making this video.
      I've just released a swift demo video using your Aquacast Black that you might want to check out too!
      Feel free to sponsor me for a proper, dedicated review of your products sometime!
      Happy to help spread the word!

      @@007rastas I've just bought this product on temu but under another name 500grams for just over £5.

      @lynne6534 yeah I’ve noticed they seem to offer a few and some get discontinued while “new” ones are released! I actually now only buy Aquacast from Eli-Chem Resins as when bought in bulk, it works out a lot cheaper and it gets to me quicker! This stuff is great when it’s on offer at Temu and you are perhaps just trying it out for the first time but if you’ve used it before and want to make lots of things, I’d recommend buying it bulk from a more establishment, transparent brand with a support network!

      Apologies for the late reply, for some reason your comment was hidden but I found it now and thanks for the feedback! Indeed it’s great fun to use and a very cost friendly alternative (not replacement) to epoxy resin! Though in regards to actual cost, I still prefer to use a well known, more accessible brand that I can buy in bulk as it works out even cheaper as this Temu alternative isn’t necessarily cheaper on a monetary level unless it’s hugely discounted when you can grab it!!

    Thanks for this video. I found this brand on Temu and was wondering if it's worth buying - I have never used resin or resin alternatives, but I really want to experiment with this sort of DIY. Your video was very helpful!

      That’s great to know, thanks for watching, I’m pleased it helped you as that was the goal! I’d definitely give it a try, especially if starting out but as mentioned in the video I can’t advocate for the long term efficacy of the product as yet plus as someone who wants to use a laser engraver on it, I’ve still opted for a different, more established brand as I know it’s safe to use with my laser. I hope to one day hear back from the manufacturers of this cheaper alternative to confirm it is also safe and then I can do another demo but in the meantime if you want to check out my other videos using Aquacast, you can check out cool it is when it’s engraved too!

      Hi, I was going to buy some of this from Temu, but it's expensive. Aqua Cast is around £22 for 3kg and Resin Recreate is £29 for less than 2.5kg x

    • @artistrobfuller
      @artistrobfuller  4 місяці тому

      @appleoneill5135 that’s right - it’s a language thing, when I say cheap, I don’t mean on a monetary level, I mean as in a “cheap” (unknown/unbranded) version of eco resin. To me, saying something is cheap doesn’t necessarily mean it cost less, just that it could be of a lower quality. As it happens this Temu stuff worked well so it’s probably the exact same stuff as the branded versions anyway - perhaps even from the same factories! Just different packaging! I suppose my conclusion was that, when it’s on a very low offer when you shop on Temu ( I pad less than £5 for my pack at the time) and you just want to try it out as a newbie, this stuff will hold up well. But I ultimately agree that the better known brands, I use Aquacast from Eli Chem Resins, are more accessible and often cheaper to buy especially when you buy in bulk! Thanks for watching and interacting. I appreciate the feedback.

    Thanks for the video, I've been thinking about getting into resin create, but haven't tried it yet. This would be a product to try to see if I like it.

    • @artistrobfuller
      @artistrobfuller  3 місяці тому

      Thank you for watching! It’s definitely worth grabbing to try it out if it’s at a really low price but I’ve had lots of reports that it’s gone up in price probably due to growing popularity and the one I used in this demo is seemingly no longer stocked though they’re all pretty much the same! If you do get into it, it does seem more cost effective to buy the more established brands (here in the UK I go with Aquacast by Eli-Chem Resins) and order in bulk as it works out cheaper per kilo.

    I see a lot of the same packaging with the same ratios from a couple of companies. They probably have a single source and sell under numerous labels, like some generic food in the states.

    If you wet sand it, before you wax, it also helps to bring out the color.

      You’re welcome! Thanks for watching! It’s worth shopping around and although I got this batch really cheap from Temu, their prices fluctuate so much and I’ve since learnt that it’s actually more cost effective to buy locally in bulk which is what I do now here in the UK via Eli-Chem resins with their Aquacast range. Per gram it works out cheaper so bear that in mind if you use this stuff a lot!

    Temu carries sanding sticks for getting very tight places & they are angled & should work great on the inner edges.

    • @artistrobfuller
      @artistrobfuller  3 місяці тому

      Indeed, many places do, I use them myself. I actually made mine with sanding sheets and some plywood and cut them into sticks using my laser!

    This is the only one of the concrete resins I use now. I’ve tried 4 of them and they seem to all be about the same. So might as well go the least expensive route. I do find that unmolding after 30 minutes doesn’t work for me and I’ll usually wait 1-2 hours.

    • @artistrobfuller
      @artistrobfuller  5 місяців тому

      That’s interesting re: the de-molding - but I suppose it depends on environment. I use those heat mats you can buy for aquariums and I switch them on when waiting for it to cure and it seems to speed up the process so I can unmold quite quickly. I still leave it for a good 24 hours before waxing etc though.
      As for the brand, it does seem to work really well for the price! I’m glad I tried it out and it’s good to see others are also enjoying it! Thanks for watching and for taking the time to comment!

      @@claytonjames4779 It seems this particular brand I've used to make this video is now discontinued and I would guess it is probably because the packaging was almost identical to that of JDictions Resin-crete and they may have complained about that! - but I've been informed that any of the eco-resins Temu promote of this type, are probably the exact same thing, just in different packaging so you could just try one of those. Thanks for pointing it out though, I will update the description accordingly.
