Hey man, love the content. I have an N55e because in my opinion, not only is it the best sounding BMW 6 cylinder motor ever, but having a fast N55 is cooler and more unique than an N54. Anyway, where did you get your interior ambient lighting? Also, I'm wanting to push 500hp with a stage 2 Vargas turbo. I have VRSF High Flow DP, Mishimoto 5" FMIC, CSF Radiator, and aFe Cold Air intake. What else should I do before going stage 2 turbo?
I’m on the pure stage 2 turbo for my n55e, definitely get an upgraded lpfp and upgraded coil packs. I’m on the precision race ones and haven’t had issues with it
i ahd a 2007 n54 e92 and was fbo but it shits the best with HPFP and Other shit.. a b58 is to much money to beat the shit out of it so now im chilling with a n55 EWG 435i Plans to go FBO and pure S2
@@StolenE92 Nah the N54 will always perform with more power. It holds like 600-800 from the factory. If you upgrade everything. The only thing the N55 I will say is better over a N54 is the reliability. If you want more power on a N55 you have to get forged internals. The N54 sucks with reliability so many things goes wrong.
Cast crank shaft dude. They cheaped out on the bottom end for the shitty valvetronic head that doesnt have any bearings on the camshafts so when they score you need a whole ass new cylinder head. N54 is more durable and serviceable than n55.
The block castings are essentially the same n54 vs n55. Idk in what world a cast crank is holding up better than a forged crank. The only n55 that came with a forged crank was in the n55 M2's. That could be possible. Stock for stock the n54 has a tougher rotating assembly vs a garden variety WBA car n55.

High pressure fuel pump (dorch)
Bearings first before turbo and low pressure fuel pump and port injection

If you get the right brand no issues also use oem gasket from dealer or fcp euro.

More durable is crazy to say the least. But the crankshaft can hold a lot more from what I’ve heard comparable to n54
